I’ve accepted the fact that in three months my Barnet will resemble Ken Barlows, or even worse than that, the druggy GP from Corrie.

I went down to FedEx this morning and whilst they were still handling general packages, it was immediately noticable that there were hundreds and hundreds of Arco boxes being readied for shipping.
Hopefully all heading to NHS facilities.

    Agreed.

I actually pity some of the people who have no alternative but to to use the tube to get to their vital work and may well get it.

A situation not of their making.

Just hope all the piggy bank hasn't been spunked on COVID instead of the Northern Powerhouse.

I was concerned by the Medical Corespondent on the BBC making comparison between Italy and the UK, he stated that we are about 2 weeks behind Italy and that 233 deaths was significant as it showed that we are on the same rate of deaths as Italy, just 2 weeks behind. This did not sound right, so I have done a simple excel spreadsheet chart that covers a 20 day period of reported deaths. The start point was from the first reported deaths.

After 20 days from the first death Italy had 1016 deaths
    The UK has had 335

Its not scientific just the daily numbers published. As a country we are way behind both Italy at the moment.

At the very start we saw the charts with a steep rise and the object of flattening the curve out. I think our rate of increased in deaths is slower than Italy's.

Hampshire is the largest single area, but it has no tubes, so maybe there are other factors that need a close look at too.

It's not a straightforward case of comparing Countries, or even within Countries either. The lifestyles can be very different for one thing.

I had mentally come to this conclusion without actually plotting it out. The narrative didn’t add up especially when over the last 2 days we recorded much smaller numbers to what would have been expected if we were to follow Italy’s curve.
