I don’t understand why so many people suddenly feel the need to go shopping, the shops are open, just shorter opening hours, it’s not like it’s Christmas, even then I don’t understand that either as it’s only 1 day!

A massive amount of gratitude and respect to the 7,500+ retired health workers who have came out of retirement and joined the battle.

Until the end of April (according to the NCP report I saw). Then they'll have to go back to paying what are often ridiculous fees. Hopefully when things calm down, NHS staff won't have to pay to use hospital car parks at all,

US students party on spring break despite coronavirus
"If I get corona, I get corona. At the end of the day, I'm not going to let it stop me from partying," spring break goer Brady Sluder told Reuters in Miami.

    Just a few days later...

Five students at University of Tampa test positive for coronavirus after traveling for spring break

Ive got a theory, why has Hull had only 1 person infected and who has since gone home and none since, that's nearly two weeks without a new case, only 15 in East Riding, which is a massive area, Goole to Brid. Sheffield has the most cases.
These numbers mirror the Spanish Flu outbreak 100 years ago Hull had the least deaths in Yorkshire, Sheffield had the most, anyway my theory, as stupid as it probably is, could it be related to the ever present wind that blows down the Humber, through Hull and out to the West?
Some Leeds lads who I am working with at Hull Marina always comment on the wind and the clement weather we have here.
Call me stupid I don't care

Im classed as a key worker, Plumbing and Heating engineer, but my wife is self isolated for 12 weeks, and she's scared I will get it and pass it on to her, Im self employed, can't go sick so will not get a penny, even if I am, £92 week is the most I can get, my business expenses are more than that a week, so what do I do?
Carry on working, with the risk, or stay home, go bust, and claim from the state and prob get far more that £92 a week for the both of us.
Why us self employed have been left out of the stay home measures I do not know.

With the lack of compliance/disregard for strong emergency measures proposed, it seems like a form of martial law needs to be implemented.
A sad state of affairs, but when members of the population are so blase, what else can be done ?
