This is it. They are saying how to work’ and saying ‘stay at home’ or ‘don’t use public transport’. How the hell else can Londoners commute? The situation is unmanageable and contradictory, they have to make it black and white. Folk who are still able to work will be classed as sick and potentially unpaid until its taken out of their hands. If, as it looks, they are just delaying the inevitable, just get it ****ing done and let us all work towards some form of normality.
Yeah get the important people to work The rest stay in the house This allows space for the workers the rest stay in This will be nipped in the bud quicker If that’s the right words to use Bait stay in and eat what you have for a short while Then tentatively one person per household get in supply’s when required Drastic steps needed now to combat this It’s up to the government to keep us informed and advised daily as the weeks progress
I’ve just had to spend 15 minutes explaining to someone that if you don’t dry your hands, you may as well not have washed them. People are stupid.
An enforced lockdown is, sadly, the only way. There will always be people who feel obliged to work unless ordered not to ... ... and others people who are too stupid to stay home.
Yep. Ill always be at work if I’m healthy, but I’m making today last day. I’ve got a mild cold, and it really is a mild cold, no other symptoms, when I cough it’s the opposite of dry. Why ****ing gamble though? If I thought I’d infected someone else that’s something you don’t need to be dealing with.
There is people families and kids down the park The ice cream man and the chip shop making a killing Virus all over the place However we have to make allowances for heavy challenged people May be they need some help in understanding simple instructions
It's tough when the government advice is left for people/companies to interpret themselves. I heard a relative of mine say how they would carry on working if they only had mild symptoms because they don't get sick pay. Most of the blokes on his shift are saying exactly the same. Being off work means it'll be hard for them to pay their bills. It seems that the fear about the virus hasn't overtaken people's everyday anxieties yet. Companies need to be more clear on this and be encouraging everyone to stay home with symptoms and claiming that 80% pay from the government for them.
went to Sainsbury's Southwick at 8 this am (oldies slot is 8-9 MWF). The chilled meat aisle was choked with people "browsing" before they chose an item. Nipped in quick for mice & chicken breasts and escaped while holding breath. Why can't people understand? Its not rocket science. Make a list, nip in and get what you want and go. Popped in to Lidl after that which was a breeze, evreyone with the 6 foot force field switched on
Everyone is expecting it. Everyone is preparing big for it. The vast majority appreciate its the only way forward as things stand. Get it ****ing done.
As an extremely vulnerable person, I'm now on enforced isolation for 12 weeks because of selfish people like this. I'm self employed and as yet, I no longer have an income.
That's terrible Becs, absolutely terrible. You're normally the kind to grit their teeth and find the positive side but this must be testing you. If it's any help at all I can say you'll be in my prayers ... ... and others who care about you will be hoping things come right for you
The government have, over the years, encouraged people to be self employed, start a business and sanctioned zero hour contracts, etc. Just as they baled out the Lloyd's Names, the investment bankers, etc they should now help the 'lower orders'. After all it was those people who helped the government to an election victory and huge majority. They are 'Johnson's people' and they should rightly expect him to make their situation comfortable.
They’ve just closed every ****ing Greggs. If there’s a line, if it wasn’t Spoons, this is it. There’s going to be nowhere to eat. This is becoming a real ****ing dark cloud in the background.
