This story was on the tele last night and the way it was portrayed was that they were poor unfortunate girls who wanted to get back to help but couldn't. What the article doesn't mention is that they only departed for South America on March 13th. FYI, the golf course and car park was packed today. Club house not open, changing rooms were...no rakes in bunkers, flags left in, cup upside down.. Very cold but great fun..
Going for a round in an hour and a half. Lovely 20 degree day and only 7 bookings on the course. Yesterday they had the annual Mayors Day and only had 2 thirds of the usual numbers.

Daughter says to me that she didn't think she would catch it as she's young and healthy. She was quickly educated on the matter. I would add though her overall response to this has been fantastic.

That's at least 3 more weeks from today. Totally expected to be honest but when the reality kicks in it's hard to accept. I go out once a week to shop and that is all I do, the only people I see apart from when I shop is when I put out my rubbish in the community bins and we have a quick chat from a distance. Blimey I first thought sna ment some acronym I was not familiar with. This winter has been mostly westerly winds wet and a little warmer. The 'Beast from the East' was a east wind, bringing the white stuff from the steppes. Cold east winds atm mind. Bored...got some logs to cut up for next winter other than that nowt to do.
