I’m doubling up on teabags to get a bit of flavour out of the co ops own brand - can’t beat Yorkshire though
The Chinese doctor who tried to warn the authorities of a new Sarrs-like virus last December has had his reprimand posthumously removed from his record.
today i did something i didnt know i'd have the strength to do. the wife came down and couldnt believe i had done it (or got through actually).... but as of tomorrow, we'll no longer have sky sports. the extra £35 a month i save already spent on strawberry plants and tomato and chilli seeds.
Took a walk around the local parks in SE7 today. Only saw a few other people, but exchanged a 'good morning' with every one of them. I've never done that before. Never even paused to think about exchanging greetings with other people on a sunny Spring morning Not out of rudeness, just somehow it never seemed important before. Always other (trivial) things on my mind I guess. Just walked on by, as they did. It was nice just to say a passing hello to a few folks instead.
JUst got an e-mail from my homebrew mail order company to say they are not taking any more orders due to a surge in demand. I'm alright Jack, received a large order yesterday
Yes, a surprising number of people seem to think that we are having some kind of National Holiday. A little bit of good weather, and suddenly folks take day trips to popular tourist spots. Some might say 'it's a last hurrah before we isolate' (like those dummies on Bondi Beach yesterday). As if the Virus will just lay off for the weekend out of a sense of decency. Some of those tourists will have picked up the virus, or spread it to others. When their elderly loved ones die, perhaps they'll regret behaving so selfishly.
I don't know whether my daughter has a mild case of the virus or a really nasty cold and bronchitis. Could be either but we're a long way off being able to test for the antibodies.
