We've pretty much sidestepped the supermarkets for most things.

Gousto deliver ingredients for four meals every week, a local farm supplier delivers fruit, veg and dairy weekly. A butcher delivers a large selection of meat once a month that we freeze.

I hope they heed the government’s advice. It’s frightening what could happen if it gets into over populated, vulnerable communities in places like India and Africa.

    Take care mate.

Btw, I visited my 86 year old mum and 89 year old dad in Southampton on Wednesday. Stayed the night and drove back to London the next day. I did it because
    a) They really wanted me to visit
    b) I could be of practical help, and
    c) it felt like the right thing to do at the time. Obviously things have changed a bit in the few days since.

I say this not to encourage anyone to ignore the Government’s advice; I say it because I want you to know that I absolutely get where you were coming from with your original plans for Mother’s Day.

We’re all trying to do the right thing in the right way for our own personal circumstances, and imo none of us should be judging each other.

    God bless and UTS

That could have been some top quality fillet mignon if you’d have let it roll... I’m not gonna lie I’m sorta disappointed.

Sky News just been reporting on an old dear who has a terminal illness with 3 months to live. Apparently they get a hall-pass, and can go out and about if they want to. She said she wasn’t going to because it endangers others, fair play to her.

Absolutely mate. It’s just a day to sell cards and flowers. Plenty of time to have a proper Mother’s Day after this provided we and our mums make it through. Don’t risk your health x

His dislike of Cummings or the government is nothing to do with policy, it's because they won't come on his show. Same with Megan and Harry.

I don't care much for Cummings and the Tory rabble either but this ****'s motives are complete self-interest.

I never really know if Morgan believes what he says or says what will get the best/biggest reaction. He’s right on this though.

Shocked to hear that it was Dom and his ‘nudge’ group who were steering the strategy, and not the medics.

    A good article by CNN

"You are three times more likely to have severe respiratory problems if you are homeless and the average age of death if you are homeless is 44," he adds.

McNeil believes the UK's homelessness crisis has been exacerbated by austerity measures. "Homeless people have been affected because of the reduction in funding for local authorities, so local support had to close down," she says.

Anecdotally, this seems to be the case, according to Downie. "In some areas, people have been told by their local councils that there is no help available." In the context of coronavirus, the combination of an increased demand for services and, as with food banks, a hit on the volunteer network has created a nightmare scenario.

And in a stark reminder of how serious this situation is, Downie adds: "If there is a report of an outbreak in a shelter then obviously it will have to shut, meaning we will see more people sleeping rough."
The challenges facing these vulnerable members of society are nothing new. Campaigners hope that this crisis will at least shine a light on the plight of those in poverty and without homes.

"This coronavirus exposes the cracks in society -- those who have mortgages and regular income could suddenly find themselves facing the same problems as people who are on benefits," says Sahota.

McNeil points out that people who are used to enjoying a secure income might find themselves relying on the state. And she thinks that the government might have to make these benefits more generous, given the sudden influx of people who are used to a certain way of living.

He is right, but I question his motives i.e. because they've shunned him.

I know what you mean though, he's like the Adrian Durham of TV
