Thankfully, I've yet to have any problems getting anything I need/want over here, apart from my supermarket delivery not having the butter (Anchor) that I'd ordered.

Yeah, I live city centre which I think makes it a bit worse, smaller supermarkets and multiple apartment buildings.

My cars been in Sunderland since the last home game <laugh>

Newcastle mate. I’m from Seaburn but I haven’t lived in Sunderland since I had the choice to be honest.

I moved out of my mams 20 year back and bar a couple of periods abroad I’ve lived here.

That's where I spent most of my formative years (8 to 23 (ish).

I loved it - never lived in Sunderland, only worked there for about 3 or 4 years in my late teens/early 20s.

About £30k I’d have thought, your friend is welcome I do about 40miles a month in it anyway, basically if I’m driving to match. Never gets used.

There’s just little going on there mate, I don’t hate the place or owt just wish the council had had some foresight a few years back and moved the place along.

Here in France we're being asked to stay at home and avoid human contact.

We did a month's shop so we can do just that ....

.... if that constitutes 'panic buying' we're guilty as charged.

We also eat out regularly, but all cafés and restaurants are closed so we need more supplies.

Plus we've no idea if things might become worse ...

... the postal service has been suspended so shop deliveries could be next.

Sunderland has been left to rot, I agree but the regeneration they're aiming to achieve in Seaburn is really good. I live there now and absolutely love the place and when, I say when now as it could be some time, that stack and other things get finished off it will only get better, but the rest of Sunderland needs attention as well, 100%

I hope so mate, nothing I’d love to see more than the city develop.

I’m a proud Mackem, I just can’t find any attraction in living there, it’s a 15 min drive to my mams with Seaburn being this side of town, that’s as far as I get bar the SOL and a couple boozers.

I've been heading to the supermarket first thing when it opens if i need anything.

Got a 10 pack of toilet roll yesterday, one of only 10 on the shelves so the mrs was well chuffed with me.

It's not just the cities here though. Had to do a job 400k away on friday and the 4 country towns i went through had all had there shelves decimated.

I’ve found that when the panickers head and queue at the big shops , the smaller ones are quiet . Have been getting most in them . Sometimes have to buy alternatives but still things I like - seems people can’t use a bit of imagination. Reckon I could be locked in now for 14 days, eat nutritionally without feeling hungry and all I’ve stockpiled is - 1 packet broth mix 6 tins beans. 4 extra tins tuna and 2 extra tins salmon . Even if that’s stockpiling I wouldn’t be buying anything else for 2 weeks

People out in their droves last night, drove past Teesside retail park today on way back from work and the place looked packed.
The sheer stupidity of people in this country is even taking me by surprise now. We saw a little window into it with the Benidorm morons I highlighted last week.
These people are risking the lives of every single one of us, family members and loved ones. Scum of the earth imo.

I think what this has taught us is that a lot of people are beyond selfish.

“you can’t stop me from going out”
”I’ll do whatever I want I’m not taking any **** off the government”

They fail to realise we’re all in this together, everyone has a duty to kick this viruses arse and not let it take hundreds of thousands of people. This can be accomplished by following the advice which has been given to us. It’s as simple as that.

An online provider has had to take down their offer to bet on Donald Trump dying before the next US election.

It is thought that most of the bets placed were from caring, law-abiding citizens.
