This government has just written several blank cheques. They will be printing money like there is no tomorrow.

This will help a heck of a lot of people.

But there is a flaw imo and that is, it's up to employers to do it. Some businesses are close to bankruptcy or just don't have any income to stay open. Others, like in my profession where there are supply teachers (basically zero hour contract in effect), why would any school take that grant to fund them especially if they're closed and don't need them. I'm sure there are other similar examples in the zero hour industries where there is no business coming in.

Social distancing to include children with appropriate supervision.

What I don't get is areas of work like mine ( Communications ) Children will go to school . Why ?

I mean how come there are places for some and not others and yes , I probably am being thick .

These changes are going to severely test the stability of my software .

All those changes to Universal credit, Local housing allowance and the passing of taxable income into the benefits system are going to keep me very busy.

Children with safeguarding and child protection issues, as well as those who are most vulnerable e.g. with medical impairments etc are coming into school.

Then there are also the children of key workers so they can do their jobs.

In school we've been given the directive NO teaching/lessons, it's purely childcare.

Is it due to lack of teachers ?

It’s a grant which means it doesn’t have to be paid back - any employer who isn’t a total **** will take advantage of this to keep staff on where possible unless it’s people they wanted an excuse to get rid of anyway!
