The msm need to ****in stop with the dramatics, if this bug doesnt kill the elderly the fear will, the fear of being 'isolated from the rest of the world'
The majority of the old dears STAY AT HOME anyway, saying things like 'self isolate is scaring the vulnerable fo'fuxske,
I called round to my elderly neighbour to see if she was ok and needed anything the poor old dear was frightened that she was gonna be abandoned after watching BBfuckinC news

Well fancy that, I guess you're in lock down now after being advised by our premier to avoid contact with anybody, even family. You do know that doesn't give you carte blanche to bug us though?

This is all bollocks and totally unnecessary disruption. The over 70's and those with underlying issues should stay at home - fair enough. But the rest of us should be able to carry on with our normal lives - if we get the thing, we get it.

We should be allowed to take our chances. After all, that's what we do in normal day to day life anyway, even crossing the road is not risk free.

The country should be allowed to go to work. All those of working age with no health issues, if they contract the virus, would be off for 7 days, 14 days tops - then back to work and some kind of normality.

Face it head on - we can't keep treading on eggshells for months on end. It's like a slow death doing that anyway.

I read it in the Lancet.<ok>

It was a scientific article by 2 Italian Professors. Bloomberg are usually reliable too so I don’t know why there’s a discrepancy.

1/3 had nothing wrong with them... apart from being old

the stats comparing Italy and Korea are quite interesting... highest mortality v lowest mortality.

italy have done far less testing, typically those that go to hospital, they have the second oldest population in the world and often live in family groups with grand parents. In Korea the people getting it have been Largely young female none-smokers. In Italy the deaths are largely male old and often smokers.

Same disease in Totally different societies. So which society are we closest to? Italy, obviously, except we shove our oldies into care homes at the first opportunity.

so I’d expect our rates to be bad but not not as bad as Italy... if we can keep the spread at a pace that doesn’t completely overload the nhs. Which ultimately is what all this is about, as we’re all going to get it bar those ‘saved’ by herd immunity further down the line, unless a vaccine gets fast-tracked.

And the shops are getting worse as the all the students and kids are soon to be home. My local shop which has been very reliable for staples was ravaged by zombie hoards yesterday who came from nowhere - cleared the place of bread, milk, fruit and veg, soup, pasta, rice etc. Think it was a planned attack from outside the area as it’s mainly the elderly around here.

Good for you to go and see her. Am at my mums old place on the south coast at the moment. Mostly retired community, hardly seen them all week. Someone local put a slip of paper through everyone’s doors the other night offering to collect shipping etc. This was legit but we need to keep an eye on scammers because they will soon be offering to take money off the elderly to ‘go and do some shopping for you’. There are cases of people selling corona virus test kits door to door in London to the vulnerable. Let her know.

I’m afraid this will continue until the government steps in to stop it and yes it means troops on the streets so what
Goes to prove my point society generally is starting to break down
Only government intervention can do anything to try and stop it
There should also be a law against profiting

No, not in lock-down, Eric and seriously don't think I will be. I can't imagine being couped up for a month for no good reason. F*ck our Premier (with yours, not mine) I think she's a twat of the first order who only comes out of the woodwork when their is a vote to be counted. And if I am put into lockdown, beware, I shall bug the buggery out of you. :emoticon-0172-mooni :emoticon-0173-middl :emoticon-0183-swear :steam: Where's Parsley?

Just interviewed a Doctor in the worst affected area of Italy, 50% over 65 years old, 50% under and lots of 20,30,40 year olds critical he said although more younger ones survive.

We’re building a train track so we can export our overcrowding into those lovely villages
