That wont stop the legal challenges being made, being denied a PL place is a lot of fookin money for a championship team, far more than the cost of the legal challenge :)
I don't "know", just reckon its inevitable, because of the remaining games left, more cl;ubs want it finished than not I'd imagine.

If it was 15 games we could say no for sure I think. 10.. and given the rest the players have had, definitely more than a game per week over 10 games can be played, say 6 weeks ish for 10 games. Closed doors them too

but who knows mate.. there is so much involved I really dont know

The only fair way is to finish it but that brings in other problems come June like contracts. Yes the league say they will allow contracts to be extended but what about players who don't want to extend and have spent all year running them down.

players have to suck it up. I mean, the Euros are back a year already, everything is put back, people's lives, the players will survive better than most I think.

though when it comes to lower league teams where players are on buttons and it's all they got.. those clubs and players should be helped by the PL.

I know one thing, I do NOT want Liverpool awarded the title with less than 38 games played, that's worse than the season being null

Yep, but a players contract is his own (agent allowing ) and the PL saying they are fine with extension are talking ****e without the players consent.

yes extensions should be optional... maybe.. in the end, from a seasonal context nothing changes except the date, they still move before the start of the next season, just that the start of next season is going to be later.

So players, should do their part because everyone is getting ****ed. These are unusual times requiring unusual sacrifices, and to be honest, players are on the thin end of the suffering tail <ok> If it were me, I mean ffs, I'd be "well it is what it is, we're all in this ****, the whole fkn industry"

"There is unanimity amongst the 20 Premier League clubs - in private as well as in their statement - for the current campaign to reach a proper conclusion."

Seriously, what's your plan if the season doesn't get finished? Would that be you done with streaming football?

Funny how you swerved posting the next 2 paragraphs. <laugh>

One source with knowledge of the situation has told the BBC work is now beginning to gain clarity over exactly how far the season could be pushed back in order for that to be achieved.

But there is already an end date that the entire European game is loosely working towards. Ideally, the campaign will end on 30 June.

Let's be honest, if it was any team other than Liverpool set to win the PL the season would have been binned off already. The PL and FA just can't face the barrage of whining. Sky Sports would have to set up a new channel dedicated to former players explaining why it's the greatest injustice in de history of football and dat all fans, not just dem der fans of Liverpool Football Club, no, all fans who love de game of football are outraged at de injoostice.

So in your mind "ideally" the campaign would end on 30 June is a stronger statement than "the priority" is to finish the season

    Okay

Question, if they null the season, and clubs and or leagues open up a bunch of legal battles, the following season cannot start until those legal issues get resolved?

Could null and voiding it cause even more of a delay than finishing it later on maybe?

They can start the season while legal matters are being addressed. Teams have been banned from the transfer market and then the ban overturned during the season after the legal case was won/lost.

Scratch that one off your list of reasons why the league has to be completed.

I dont think your example is a reason we can "scratch it off", and I have no list. I am going by the objections by clubs/leagues

Transfer ban is imo not comparable to the issue of lost promotion and lost 10s if millions of income.

From the statements given, both sides of this argument don’t seem to contradict each other.

The preference is to finish the season if at all possible. If the current situation goes on for too long though it might not be possible and the season will have to be declared null and void.

As far as I see it that’s the only two outcomes. They’ll push for the first for as long as possible before accepting the second if no time left.

It’ll take a while to get all games played if we restart the season. 10 league games, 3 FA Cup games, up to 7 European games. Assuming an English team gets to a European final that’s 10 weeks of playing twice per week every week.

It would make sense to kill the CL and cups in Europe and finish the leagues behind closed doors. (we're out of them anyway :bandit: )
10 games in 6 weeks is not a massive delay, finishing in June IF things improve or stabalise.

Understood, it's teams being denied promotion that you're concerned about.
