Who would have said at the start of the season that we would see.. Newcastle................................4th and WBA and Boltom.......................Bottom two 8th for us if we can win on Monday
Fair play to them Syd, they have done very well under Pardew and you cant take that away. BTW, our geordie loving manager was there to celebrate with his people at Sid James today. Hope he sobers up from celebrating in time to give a **** about our attempt at going 8th.
The mags have had a cracking start!!! Fair play i never saw it coming, pardew is doing a great job!! Still reckon we will finish comftably above them like.. 3-1 on monday Haway the lads
Weren't Blackpool in the top 4 at this stage last season? Still plenty of time for the Scum's bubble to burst. Bart
Blackburn and Hull were yep. And look what happened to them. Though I wasn't optimistic about this eason before it began, bottom line is buying a couple of french nobodies are still better than 95% of english footballers. We might fall apart in the winter, half expecing it, when the weather gets cold and soggy, but at least we're not playing hoofball up to carroll and nolan anymore.
Come on, be honest Would sunderland get over 46,000 crowd against Blackburn ...only when playing at Blackburn
They have had massive slices of luck which can't last and a fairly easy start, Blackburn were dire today. Saying that though I think they are going to finish top half as unfortunatly Taylor and Colo look to have formed a very solid CB partnership and if you have that its half the battle. Will be interesting to see if their squad is good enough though if they get injuries and if they make any buys in Jan.
I like how so many mackems accuse us of having luck, but if any mags accused Sunderland of having some luck in a few of their games (which they have) then I'm sure they would be blasted. But hey, I don't expect our biggest rivals to ever admit that we have quality players and we're playing quality football which results in good results.
Cheers for the comments lads. The main focus as ever is to bank enough points to avoid relegation... Anything after that is a bonus. I think the key will be Ben Arfa and his fitness... Good luck for tomorrow.
