There will be a lot of us in a similar boat before too much longer. The clients I've spoken to so far this week are putting recruitment on hold until this clears. No placements - no fees - no money - no business. Simple as that <grr>

So I had an email from HMRC telling me I was entitled to £699 tax refund ...... all they need is my credit card number.

But credit cards can't have a positive balance, so first he has to go out and spend at least £699

Just read this suggestion - now that China are coming out the other side of the virus (no reported cases yesterday), maybe give it a few more weeks and have the PL play out the season there.

Some people are desperate for this not to be the end of football for a while.

That would risk re-infection in China

It's a crazy idea for sure. I don't know whether China is still in a lockdown situation but if in the next few weeks they get the all clear for gatherings and their own football restart then providing all PL players and club coaches are clear of infection, it might just work. :bandit:

No domestic confirmations (in Wahun, not China) since the outbreak in January is great but as they've said, it's certainly not the end. It's a positive but they still anticipate a long road ahead.

I think international travelling should be forgotten about fur a while. Let every infected country fully recover before allowing free movement again.

    I agree.
Get the emergency over - then think about football.

I agree. Health is far more important. I'm just bringing the ideas as I read them.

"Shortly after the announcement, as the prime minister was still speaking, one customer headed out to call a friend: “Listen, you’d better hurry up and get here because all the pubs are shutting at 7pm. Hurry up,” he was heard to say."

I think its best to take claims coming out of China with a fist of salt, seeing as they denied there was any issue for almost a month.

I am doubtful the doctor over there who blew the whistle and was silenced, died from the virus as claimed

Is this pub closing tonight until after the pandemic, or are we going to keep it open as an underground establishment, like in the prohibition years?

The leisure centre we use for karate closed tonight immediately after our session; we had a double session including grading that was scheduled for Sunday.

That's me with no football or martial arts now; ****s got real... I'll be 28st when this ****ing ****s over!

Don't worry all the restaurants and chippies are closing too and the supermarket shelves are empty, you won't be putting on an ounce :bandit:
