    I ****ing hope not Col!

I wonder if there is quite a lot of this going on, and there is some sort of agreement in the media not to report it to discourage copycat stuff. But then social media would have it all over the place any way. And round my way there are empty shelves but no nastiness that I have heard of.

I don't know, but you don't tell everyone that you're only firing blanks. Hopefully, he and the old bill are there purely as deterents.

I heard a rumour that they are planning income tax cuts for NHS staff to encourage them to continue working during the crisis b great news if it comes to fruition. Maybe at the end of this disaster there will be an actual recognition of the services that the NHS provides and they get the pay raise they deserve.

Just back from the community meeting and was a pleasure to meet some genuine, helpful people who want to assist. Being coordinated by various groups and the local food bank to keep the elderly and vulnerable going during this time....looks like I’ll be doing a few deliveries in the coming weeks in my days off.
I’d urge anyone to help if they can, contact your local group or charity, and offer any kind of support you can, however little. I’m sure it would be appreciated.

If it’s going to keep a lid on everything fine, plus bring in rationing.

Nuts, because there is no need for any of it as long as people don’t panic, hoard and just act as decent human beings. Too much to ask of course.

Absolutely mate. All down to greedy, selfish ****s who have no respect for themselves and their community.
I had to pull someone up earlier who said it’s ‘anarchy’ out there.......explained to them that no true anarchist would want this chaos and would in fact be helping the people in need.
I think my point was lost on them

On top of that though there are so many people who just aren’t limiting their social interaction much if at all. While pubs are open (are they still open?) people will be boozing.

I think there may be something in this. The media (Sky anyway) are pressing for a complete shut down of London, as the worst hit area in the UK. Boris has said he doesn't rule it out, which usually means it's coming soon. Army may enforce the curfew. Can we please start a whip-round for Strolls's bail money now

Currently on a train from Aberdeen to London to attend my follow up appointment at Moorfields Eye Hospital following my retinal detachment surgery just over 2 weeks ago and it is pretty quiet (at least in 1st :smiley-finger007:)

Travelling back to Aberdeen on Sunday (I hope!) and have just been told that LNER are ceasing on board catering from tomorrow

Probably explains why I've had 3 meals on the train so far :emoticon-0102-bigsm
