Hows that panning out for you over the next few weeks?

I’m my own boss, I can be off whenever I want.

Alarming that a teacher apparently be so unaware of the well documented physical and mental benefits colouring in affords to both children and adults alike.

Alarming that a regular human being doesn't know the difference between learning vital core knowledge and time filling activities. The children I teach deserve better than a colouring in sheet. We're currently doing a local study on the history of Hull throughout the ages and they're loving it.

You can rod colouring in, that's for indoor play times and nursery.

But that's exactly it. We have a lot of mindfulness activities that are a hell of a lot more engaging than colouring in.

In this time of mass hysteria and fadgeness especially on this thread might be good for some parents and their kids to do a bit of colouring in

Mrs A and myself went for tea to Darleys last night. FFS last chance for a few months.
We guessed it would be empty, so was likely less dangerous than our workplaces. It was fairly empty, they'd moved many tables out and positioned remaining ones strategically so we were social distancing. At the bar, we were asked to step back, only use contactless. Bar staff wore gloves. A staff member was going round, wiping tables every 10 minutes. Once we got over the surrealness, it was actually very relaxing and quite impressive work practice. Made me realise how unhygienic our work practice is in comparison. We didn't have a meal, .not able to see it served actually put us off (Christ I wouldn't have given a **** just a week ago) but nice to have a couple and weird to think it's probably the last time for several months.

I do find myself living in some kind of parallel universe. I've been going about doing the things I needed to do today (after doing my paper round ha!!) without really a second thought to the whole situation, just like any other normal day. Then you finish what you're doing and realise it wasn't a normal day at all and in the immediate future it won't be for some time. Lets all stay safe and respect what people have to do in work/ for work to get through this.

Just went in our local shop to get some sweets for the grandkids, he has the old fashioned sweet jars, weighs them out and puts them in an old skool paper bag. As I walked in he was behind the counter full on blowing his snorter into a tissue, looked like he had a really heavy cold, not Coronavirus or owt, anyway he goes straight to serving a lass in front of me in the queue, no hand washing, no antibac gel, I stood there for a couple minutes, thinking, it was really awkward because it’s my local village shop, I use it quite often but just couldn’t face being handed sweets, or bags thereof, that he was going to touch, I ****ed off sharpish and probably won’t use that shop again.

Shame ‘cos I like the bloke, but he’s in his very late fifties and I’m not about to start lecturing him in his own shop on personal hygiene.
