At least it's some comfort and relief to get away from the **** that's going on to come on here and no matter who you support keep safe
Let's keep this up, we have a good community on this board and for those who have to isolate this will be a help , my old neighbour who lost his wife a few years ago left me a note to more or less say that this will be the end for him , we invite him round for Sunday lunch and he usually falls asleep in the arm chair while I ball and shout at a Spurs game, I let him know that there will always be an extra plate for him to have at his or in the future at our table and while we can shopping will be done and his dog walked
Health wise, we're not too badly off at Brian Towers, based on current information, although I'm glad that I got a chest infection sorted a few weeks back. Our eldest returns from Uni today. It'll be good to get her back given the current state of things. Mrs B's mother and step-father are big risks. She has Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and he has Lewy Body Dementia and resulting from that, numerous physical ailments which means that he's bed bound 95% of the time and requires 4 carers visits a day. I really can't see him surviving this, unfortunately. In some respects, if my mother died of Coronavirus it might be a blessing, saving her from further deterioration into soul-destroying dementia. I've seen someone I really loved die of Alzheimers. I've no particular desire to see it again. Work has seemingly dried up for me. Fortunately, Mrs B has a proper job, so money's okay, although she's been brushing up on doing 'proper' bits of her job, stuff she hasn't done for a couple of decades...just in case. I've been doing far too much digging in the garden, preparing to grow some more of our own food. It's a positive thing to do and...you can eat it. Might actually get round to planting the vines I've talked about and make some wine. Take care everyone and keep smiling. It is the best medicine...along with Gabapentin and Tramadol.
Oh joy, my morning was brightened up by one of the Lunatic Fringe popping up on my Twitter feed Here's an abridged look at the exchange My original tweet: Can a single membe of the leEvE oWt mob name someone who they would rather run the club, and how they would entice them to buy the club? LeedsFan0072: That's the stupidest question I've ever read on Twitter, and anyway (mealy-mouthed nothingness about non-specific Russians, Americans or Qataris) My response: So you don't have an answer then? LeedsFan0071IQ: You live in Croydon, why don't you support Palace? My response to that: About the stupidest question you've ever seen on Twitter... please log in to view this image
I don't want some dodgy oligarch or the henchman of a dictator running my club, thanks. The American owners are also a very mixed bunch. Levy's not perfect, by any means. He's made quite a few mistakes in the last couple of years. Do I want him out? Nope. Do I want him to hire somebody to rectify those mistakes? Yep. Would I prefer some journalist murdering psychopath in his place? **** no.
Well this self isolation ain't all its cracked up to be,trying to keep my bungalow spotless and germ free ,I've never used so many bottles of bleach disinfectant hand sanitizer etc I'm gonna get high on the fumes . Its a good job I have my garden to get some fresh air.i think I deserve a rum after all that work
LeedsFan0071IQ: You live in Croydon, why don't you support Palace? A: I've just seen a bus with a chewing gum advert on the side, doesn't mean that it sells it though
Sounds like the only crack up is your arse as you clean the floor. I'll leave that thought with you because I don't want it.
