Any report showing the virus has peaked is obviously welcome news but does anyone honestly believe the Chinese are telling the truth? I see Trump has rattled their cage by calling it "the Chinese virus".

 

I think you've redefined the term 'working from home'. Be sure to take precautions. Always ask for a fresh glass and be sure to wear blue latex surgical gloves when handling objects in the toilet. You know it makes sense.

 

My place of work has just announced that we will all be working split shifts, essentially a three day week for everyone. I’m in a sales team of ten people, five of us will be working Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, the other half working Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with each team covering the Sunday on alternate weeks.

We’re going to still be on full basic pay but obviously our commissions will be affected as you have to be there full time to sell cars, we’re paid on bandings, number of units, the more you sell each month, the more each unit is worth to you in commission.

The reasoning given, to my understanding, is that if half the team contract this plague then the other half can keep the doors open, which seems like flawed logic to me, but anyway it is what it is...

My dog’s gonna be super happy, he’ll get more walks, but I’ve told him to stay at least two metres away from any other pooches, and definitely not to go sniffing their arses!

And all this whilst Chazz has a leisurely pint in Wethers!

A mate of mine who is out that way, told me that, whilst the figures are dropping, the official figures are pretty much bollocks!

 

I'd say that Trump is more rattled. Just 2 weeks ago, he was giving public address that this was just a standard flu and looking a sure bet for reelection. Now the stock market is down 30% and he's been shown to be the one-trick pony he really is, as the US flip flops around with preventative measures and their health system having the lowest percentage of public testing in the Western world. If this gets much worse for the US, i reckon he's a one term president.

 

One of the richest men in the world, Buffett, also demanding a $50 billion tax payer bailout for the 4 airlines that Berkshire Hathaway is majority shareholder of. If you're a bar worker or waiter, you've got to sell what assets you have in a sinking market to cover any debts or liabilities.

 

So if you contract coronavirus by your actions today and you then spread it,will you still be fairly pleased with your stupidity? And if you were to be hospitalised will you forfeit your right to a bed and/or ventilator? I know you labelled this 'flu' earlier on in the thread but surely a man of your intelligence can clearly recognise that it most certainly is not and that sometimes we need to follow the advice of scientists and medical professionals..

 

At least if you get drunk and obnoxious, you'll be self isolated, even if you are panic buying.

 

Why not? We’ve been told to cover our eyes.

 

And the Chinese responded by claiming it was planted by the CIA!

Well i work in a nursery in glasgow..and from friday we are closed...no pay either

 

I live out in Cumbernauld,that's the schools closing too....Me and the wife will have to watch all our grandkids to allow our 4 kids to work,if their workplaces remain open?
