When you get to the last frame you understand why he is so angry - doubtless his tour has been cancelled, denying him the chance to monetise his shouty ersatz liberal anger. Still moaning about Trump? Really? But at least he is no longer with Russia Today.....now what did they see in him?

Sorry, each to their own, I found this bloke funny once or twice in the early days of Brexit but the novelty waned ages ago. And surely this should be on the politics thread?

    Copied/Pasted from Facebook

    COVID-19 Post/ Spread the word

Working for the emergency ambulance service, we are in the thick of it all. We are scared, we are fearful but forgive us that we are still human and whilst everyone is running away, self isolating and working from home, the NHS will always be there for you. Running towards you attending to your needs with the risk of infecting ourselves.

The demand is so high. Recently we’ve had a huge amount of patients calling presenting with a cough and/or fever and it’s only going to get worse. This means that we treat all of you as suspected Covid-19 regardless of whether you have travelled or not or been in contact with a confirmed case. As an ambulance service, we do not swab people in their own homes, nor does 111 in the community. The only way you’ll get swabbed is if you are taken to hospital and meet that criteria. We don’t take everyone to hospital. If you call us out purely for a cough & fever, you will more than likely be encouraged to stay at home.

We are simply running out of masks for you and for us. We are running out of PPE and therefore cannot protect the next patient we go to, we can’t protect ourselves, and can’t protect our families.

We go home after every shift worrying whether we have contracted the virus. Whether we’ll wake up with a cough & fever the next day. Whether we’ll actually feel OK and then find our unwell/co-morbidity, immunosuppressed relatives to be suffering. But we still go to sleep and wake up the next morning to do it all over again.

Please be mindful when calling 999. Ask yourself is this an emergency. Follow the 111 guidelines. Don’t forget 111 is also online with a specific covid-19 check list so you don’t have to wait on hold for an hour. If you have a cough or fever, Stay at home! Do not go out for 7 days. Do not go to hospital, do not go to your GP, do not go to your pharmacy. Call them! It’s difficult but by protecting yourself, you are protecting others.

    Help us to help you.

Nothing in Sunak's statement for freelancers or zero hours workers. The loans to businesses will be welcomed but they are just loans after all, and the business rates holidays will impact local authority resources and not central government. The government should beef up statutory sick pay (£90 a week for ****'s sake!) and let businesses recover it against employers NI.

Sunak has said measures are an ongoing process so we'll see. I should think we'll be hearing from him daily

You know I’m not one to defend the Tories. Think we just need to see what he comes out with in the next few days. I agree with you and it sounds like the most vulnerable economically aren’t being looked out for right now but I honestly expect even this lot to do the right thing.

Not sure if this has been responded to yet - My understanding is that if you were a member of BARP, your pension will have transferred across to an Aviva plan a year or two ago. Might be worth giving Aviva a buzz, though looking at anything to do with pensions at the moment should probably be done behind the sofa and with a bottle of Whiskey.

Thanks mate, I was in NAPS 1. The quote I have been getting online for lump sum and monthly payment hasn’t changed yet so hoping it’s gonna stay the same.....here’s to hoping.
    Thanks again

After weighing everything up, I've come to the conclusion that this whole thing is a massive hoax.

I think this practice of shorting or selling the market should be outlawed.

Unfortunately mate that’s the way Capitalism works. Thatcher ingrained a ‘help yourself’ culture that persists today.
I’ve knocked on a few elderly people’s doors in our road to leave my number and to offer help if they really need it. Most have had families and don’t need anything but all are genuinely surprised that anyone bothered......and that’s the sad thing for me....shouldn’t we all be doing that sort of thing and be ‘normal’ ?

This situation has made me hate our society even more than I did before.

Only if the people doing it are in some position of influence (I shan’t get political at this point).

Ultimately it’s a zero sum game. If I believe QPR are a false price I’m happy to back us to lose. If Marc Warburton backs us to lose that’s a different matter.

The replies are cringeworthy. Really don’t think we are far from widescale rioting as people just take advantage of stretched services as a chance to kick off.

I was thinking exactly the same, we are still right at the beginning of this. It's going to get uglier.

Yes. He’s an actor (real name Tom Walker) earning a living through advertising attached to these clips on YouTube. That’s why I used the word ‘ersatz’ to describe his opinions (it’s not actually an accurate description, but it has a better ring to it than ‘fake’, ‘pretend’ or ‘fictitious’).
