He certainly talks in riddles at times, and deffo doesn't do himself any favours . I do think he gets info but just goes the wrong way about delivering it . Another posted over the road who seems to get into but doesnt like to share basically said that the fpp ship sailed along time ago
Well this is one of the frustrating things about certain posters on this and other boards. Some definately have significant information, from believable sources, but are choosing to post it in vague terms,so it's not really definative. I'm never sure if that's to cover themselves,so their sources can't identify them,or because they're not 100% sure of the info they're putting up. I've got to say,I'm thoroughly fed up with this. If I could think of a good reason why we'd be kept in the dark over the whole thing,I might be a bit more understanding. Keeping us updated with genuine information is not going to be something that scuppers a deal. I'm 68 years old in the summer....I've followed this team home and away for over 55 years...even through the double MM's....McMenemy and Moyes.....I've never felt so low!
i share your frustrations mate , i just can't see any positive outcome to be honest i think sd got greedy and messed the deal up with fpp , as @Smug in Boots in the past he has seen text message and a company was formed plus all fanzines must of had info to start posting the stuff they did . And the way the world is at the minute who the hell would want a football club ? think we could be stuck with SD a while longer yet
I hope for Stewart Donald's sake that it does not transpire that he did scupper a deal with FPP due to his own personal greed. If he thinks the abuse he has gotten so far (rightly or wrongly) is bad, it will ramp up to a whole new level for him if it is indeed the case.
Sorry for the late reply mate, we've been on an all day walk. I've heard absolutely nothing, I doubt the situation has changed in any way at all tbh. If Bob's right I'll be surprised and apologetic.
Yes. The price was £40m. £15m plus taking on debt of £25m that was the loan to Short (covered by parachute payments). The £15m was later adjusted to £12m. But SD & JS, through Madrox, put in £12 and borrowed £25m (from the club) to make the purchase. So any bid has to be above £37m for them to make a profit. Anyway the point is that the ‘value’ of the club and the price paid are not the same thing. How much is something that loses money every year actually worth?
GoM is saying that the loan is still showing on the charge sheet, so hasn't been paid back at all. I do get the impression that he knows more than he lets on like
Its been more than a month now since FPP Sunderland applied for the closure of the company but the actual charge is owed to their American LLC Company which is still there on Delaware companies house so I would think the charge is still holding against Madrox
