Loved that game...so epic it’s still unbelievable, that night...wow.

but collectively they delivered the most embarrassing and proudless performance in the final ever witnessed and for me that will be the overriding thought of that tournament

what hurt me was that we played and acted like a club that didn’t belong in a big final and we didn’t know what to do on the grand stage...it scarred me tbh and explains my zero tolerance towards the players and I’d say staff but Poch has gone...so just players. I dont really respect them like people expect supporters to.

I think that Pavlyuchenko suffers from being compared to some of our other Premier League-era strikers, unfortunately.
Even just during the 4 years he was at the club, we also had Keane, Defoe and Crouch.
That's two with over 120 goals each for Spurs and a cult hero that came through the academy.

Scored a cracker to ensure Ben Foster's relegation, though:

Dier's debut, Son scoring a rare tap-in and Winks reacting like most of us would. <ok>
Lo Celso's is still one of the maddest scrambles ever.

I get what you are saying...was such an anti climax ... such a shame that if we were destined to lose that we did not go down fighting tooth and nail...but the second half of the semi final in Ajax will live long in our memories.

For sheer madness September 2007 to October 2008 will be hard to beat...
    1. Fulham 3 Spurs 3 September 07
    2. Liverpool 2 Spurs 2 September 07
    3. Spurs 4 Villa 4 October 07 125 anniversary game
    4. Spurs 5 Fulham 1 December 07
    5. Spurs 6 Reading 4 December 07
    6. Spurs 5 Arsenal 1 January 08
    7. Spurs 2 Chelsea 1 February 08 cup final
    8. Spurs 4 Chelsea 4 March 08
    9. Arsenal 4 Spurs 4 October 08

Was lucky enough to be at the Villa, Fulham 5-1,
Arsenal 5-1 and the Chelsea 4-4 games.
But remember them all...the fulham and Liverpool draws were gutting cos of us conceding very late equalisers but all the other draws were brilliant and very lat combacks from us.

Possibly the best player I have seen with his back to goal no one took the ball out of the sky better than Dimitar

Was live on sky...the commentator screamed "oh nooooooo" and cried when Stalteri scored the winner.
