I think my idea of a mini league or tournament to decide relegation and who gets champion league is a lot fairer than leaving it as it is.

Fair idea but practically involving that many teams, what would the benefit be in terms of minimising games/playing time than finishing the season? Not saying it wouldn’t just wondering.
Also in terms of leaving 1st and 2nd, purely as a Leicester fan, I’d be saying we are only 4 points behind Man City but 8 ahead of 5th so why should we be included in that playoff. Just questions that would be raised I guess. At the other end, Norwich are 6 points from safety so should they be included?

 

Play the games as soon as possible and that may affect the next season but that's something that can be dealt with later.

 

They either finish the league or bin it. The only people interested in some kind of fudged end to the season are Liverpool fans.

I've even seen Liverpool supporters suggest the cup competitions get binned to free up weekends to fudge the end of the PL season.

Just think it's very harsh to relegate teams without the season finishing. Massive financial impact.

 

That’s why they could never sanction it, as you can’t relegate teams when the season is incomplete, they’d sue the **** out of the PL. The season either gets played to a conclusion or it’s sacked off, that’s literally it.

These days doesn't matter if you finish first or fourth,all get into CL and that's all that matters, even fifth place could get in this season.
