I really don’t think anyone would want to invest in our club in the present climate - Coronavirus will cause huge financial difficulties globally
I can accept the club going into admin. What I can't accept is if that happens and we still have the Belgian Landlord. It all hinges on what happens when Nimer pulls out. Starting next season under admin with a 12-point deduction and a team of kids and Douchatelet completely gone will be a situation I can accept. Remember the Red RedRobin and his optimistic song. Btw he's in full voice this time of year. Stop and listen if you get a chance.
I'm glad RD is not off the hook. Well done the EFL if they eventually force him to take the Club back. That'll give the old Scrote a moral dilemma to chew over along with his morning waffles.
Nimer's press release sounds perfectly reasonable. Under less bizarre circumstances I'd be willing to believe him - or at least believe him for a short while, as he rebuilds the board. But still CAFC is under a registration embargo. SO WHERE IS THE F**KING MONEY! As Bob Geldof might put it.
The EFL needs to rule that the sale was never completed and was therefore null and void. They had better do this as soon as the deadline for Nimer to pay RD passes (there must be an actual deadline date, Roland has everything else absolutely watertight). Such an EFL ruling would reunite the Club with the land and the buildings - even if it all still belongs to the Belgian. Then the whole circus begins again. But this time no tea and biscuits for Lieven De Turck every six weeks.
......................................If he has the money, and right now that is open to doubt, to say the least.
ESI's lawyers have stepped away from them "because of lack of cogent instructions from the board"- Cawley.
A lot of doubt , but we have no other choice unless supporters want to start kissing Duchatelet 's ass and hope he comes back.
I'd rather have that than years more under the Belgian, with costs cut and cut, while quislings excuse his every miserly act.
Even the Belgian would have to accept that his valuation is pie-in-the-sky now. Ironically, I believe the best way to get rid of him altogether is if the takeover falls through quickly and the club goes back to him. In today's climate he would surely want to wash his hands of the club ASAP for whatever he can get before he has to pay to get rid.
My pal Dodger has arranged a one to one meeting with Heller. One thing that can be guaranteed- his approach & dialogue will be very different to that of CAST.
