Like I said mate, we will remember those that did the right things and those that didn't once this is all over. My immediate concern is foodbanks, homeless and children that have free school meals.

There’s a food bank collection bin in my local Sainsbury’s, two women were emptying it when I was in there yesterday. It looked pretty full, hopefully people will continue to donate. If the hoarders don’t take everything, that is.

All very good so far, treating this with the seriousness it deserves.

The support to the small businesses is very positive.

That was more than I expected they’d announce. Several measures there to help businesses and individuals. For businesses lots of interest free (for 6 months) loans available and some grants and no rates. Mortgage holidays of 3 months for those affected by coronavirus.

Suggested that insurance companies would be made to pay out, would like to see details of that.

Let’s hope it’s all in place as quickly as possible and that it’s enough!

That was before it had an [HASHTAG]#official[/HASHTAG] name which the international community decided on

Trump also used the official name up until he got some disappointing [HASHTAG]#poll[/HASHTAG] data so decided to unilaterally rename it

Rishi comes across like he knows what he’s doing. A rarity in politics these days! Surely he’s a future candidate for PM.

I think the daily press conference updates are working well in terms of feeling like they are actually keeping people informed and it feeing like they have plans in place and are trying to adapt to the situation.

Wonder if it’ll continue to feel that way as things get progressively more extreme...

Seems like some decent support and help in place now to help businesses and mortgage payments. My worry is that now puts the onus onto business owners to do the right thing and not lay people off, taking advantage of the loans available. Problem is I have no trust in business to choose to go into debt rather than just lay people off.

That's down to the people, see how much British give a **** about one another. We now know, out in the open, the government are supporting them if they want that support. If your boss denies that, your boss is a ****. Simple as.
