Everything shut down yesterday, no restaurants were open, no bars, no casinos, the hotel wouldn’t even supply room service with anything but cold food.

Will do, they have wedding insurance, but took the most basic option, so can only claim back half of the money already spent (no idea why, my daughter took out wedding insurance for hers and £25k of cover was only £35).

Well, I suppose if it's cheap and you've got appropriate insurance...

Think the insurance was £90 & covers most things although it appears to only kick in if the venue is closed by the “relevant authorities”

    Wait & see.

It looks like the wedding in two weeks is cancelled, but the one on Saturday is going ahead.

Which is exactly why Boris is trying to get away without actually cancelling stuff, but just telling people to avoid gatherings instead.

Mate it was like that when I called in Asda Bilton at 7:30 this morning, they were walking around with overflowing trolleys looking like extras from The Walking Dead, I swear that if I’d have had an AK47 in my boot that I’d have put every one of the ****ers out of their misery!

    **** Coronavirus!

My daughter spotted it straight away but she works in Insurance Compliance. It appears small & medium businesses will be thrown to the wolves to protect the big boys’ interests.

I'm going to make a few sacrifices and panic buy in pubs purely as a gesture of support.
