Not fished chew for about 20 years. Nice water though. Fished the bristol waters a lot when i lived there. Well, i self isolated for about 6 hours but was told by her indoors that I had to go home.
Just a thought on the suspension. This may well mean we get Tomlin back for a few more games than we thought... Could make a big difference to how the rest of our season pans out. (well, that's if they don't call the whole thing off and make it null and void (which would be hilarious for the scourers! ).
I'm bored already. Would even have watched the egg chasing as a last resort. WRU are masters of cock ups. Bumped into some very disgruntled, kilt wearing Jocks in Porthcawl this morning. At least they will keep the bar tills ticking over. Couldn't see an emoji for scotch.
If it doesn't resume on Apr 4th with a further suspension advised because there's no improvement, then I think the season will be voided instead. Just not enough time to finalise the division movements for next season. All clubs to stay where they are and start again in August. The FFP police will have a field day if that happens unless there's some sort of amnesty.
Can imagine the Liverpool fans being gutted. And as for the Leeds fans...... The death toll for that could be higher than the virus itself. Hope that ruling applies to the prediction league.
Seems there are 4 schools of thought 3 in this article https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport...-2020-coronavirus-fixtures-postponed-17924967 And another in this https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/cardiff-swansea-leeds-west-brom-17927035 With no football envisaged for months there’s plenty of time for all this to be debated amongst the people in power, the media and the court of public opinion. Some may say the idea of a 22 team PL is unjust, and coming from a Brighton perspective is in self interest. Could the season just be written off as if it never happened? No decisions are likely for quite some time yet; my hunch is as the peak of the contagion is months away, the season will either be scrapped or concluded as it stands.
If the season is voided and everyone stays where they are, then would it be only fair to award bonus points for the start of next season? It could be in relation to the current table positions. For the Championship for instance this could mean that Leeds would start with say 23 points for being currently top, down through the table to Barnsley who would start with zero. It would reward the wasted effort put in by clubs this season if it were to be declared a write off. At least it would give teams who have missed out this year an advantage to carry forward. Is that fair - any opinions?
Don't worry, if they don't go up this season they won't make it next season with or without the bonus points.
