Unless every player, staff member and official self isolate, including from their families, it simply wouldn’t work imo.

The only hope this season has of completing is a sudden massive downturn in the infection rate.

They’re taking this well on RAWK.......

They’re still mostly in the denial phase. Plenty of hate for Karen Brady though, and some threatening to cancel their Sky subscriptions if dem red men don’t get to lift the league title <laugh>

I’m thinking out loud Tobes. For every thought l have, there’s a number of reasons why it’s likely not to work.

It’s unchartered waters mate and the situation is literally changing daily (Spain has just gone into full lockdown). Football is ultimately just a game and it’s place in the grand scheme of things needs to be remembered. Quite how the game picks all of this apart and decides the best outcome, is up to the authorities and the clubs. Whatever they end up deciding will have winners and losers. I don’t envy them tbh.

its going to get crazy soon... hundreds then thousands in a short amount of time... it really is a tragic situation. I think most people are still living in ignorance tbh. I think my it's going to take until people they know starting to drop before they realise what is going on.

Personally I'm very worried about my Grandparents, specially since my Grandfather is currently struggling with chest cancer. It's a forgone conclusion, if he catches this he's a goner. It's funny to laugh at people taking this all too far, like the guys turning up to the supermarkets in hazmat suits, but it's arsehole behavior to completely dismiss this. Especially when real people are dying.

I don't really understand some of the arguments here, we shouldn't worry about this because the common cold exists? What?

Problem is mate, you are making assumptions. By that I mean, yes naturally you are concerned for your mother, I get it. However, based on that you shouldn't assume other people on here are not at risk. We have a laugh and a joke that is all.

Joe went in for his Op I think yesterday, there would be a forum member that defo does not want to be picking up the virus, he's going to need those set of lungs to be healthy when he comes out of the op.

I personally have tried my best, by sensible precautions, also not to pick up the bug, we're all in the same situation bro, we've got to keep level headed, but it also helps to have a bit of banter alonside that <ok>

Phil Thompson just been interviewed and pretty much said the only thing that matters is that Liverpool are awarded the PL title. The European places and relegation/promotion are side issues.

He’s one of the leaders of the Kopite cult. The only thing that matters to the cult is always Special Dispensation FC.

Funny isn't it why the league title takes precedence. There are currently 8 teams who are only 3 games from an FA Cup trophy. And yet there's no clammer from the liverpool infested footy media to complete those? But somehow Liverpool's 2 games (could be 9 ffs) is a strong argument? <doh>
The brainwashing that's going on with the league title is ridiculous.

    Ok **** Face... where's my mention? <grr>

Irony is I have never had a day off work in 30 years (true dat) as I seem pretty resistant to colds and flu normally. Was on gardening leave when I had my own op ... my then employer obviously thought that making me redundant 2 weeks before it would help my chances of pulling through <laugh>

My missus is pretty worried about me but have to work to earn a living so I'll be back on that train to London tomorrow ... she has insisted I take a hand sanitizer and I do use it ... not a complete twat! <cheers>

The thing is, they can’t just say that the current league table is the final table. Villa’s game in hand could take them out of the relegation zone. Sheffield United’s could put them in 5th which is CL footie this season.

It has to be null and void which sucks for United, who are currently in a CL spot, but it’s the only way that all clubs can be treated fairly.

You were not what I would deem as an 'immediate' concern, as you've described 'never had a day off work' - hence fit as a fiddle. My first question based on that assumption would be to ask, do you need an oxygen tank on a regular basis, and/or do you carry one in your car. If the answer was yes to either of those and considering your age, albeit still under the most at risk category age, then you might have got a mention <whistle>

If it is declared null and void, Mourinho will call getting Spurs into the CL his biggest achievement.

But if they call it null and void how do next season's European competitions get populated? Wouldn't be equitable to simply reset from the start of this season - many clubs doing better this season than last invested a lot of money with that aim.

I still think the season will get played out - just delayed. If however, they are forced into a premature end, I think they will simply remove relegations but increase them next season.

    Just my view of course.
