I think i have a virus coming - the so called SH Virus - the symptoms of this virus are an uncontrollable gnashing of teeth, rolling of the eyes, a quiver in the lip and possibly an overwhelming desire to kick something. The virus is not life threatening and measures to ease the symptoms can include coffee, alcohol, a cigarette, or actually kicking something. Do we really need these stupid stereotypes about whole groups of people ?
Afternoon all.. Mme and myself hunkering down here. I went on an early forage to asda before it got busy... And now newspaper reading and a few range of tasks agreed.. But neither of us have actually started anything...
Flipping heck - just what you want to read on a football-less Saturday - folk can be re-infected with COVID 19. 'Herd' immunity won't work. https://thehill.com/changing-americ...apan-confirms-first-case-of-person-reinfected
That is very sad news, Dave. You have been, and continue to be, a stalwart of this group of football fans. Thinking of you, mate. Love from the toprankins
Had a very nice day, my good friend who helps me with my shopping each week, picked me up in his car and drove us down the A38 to Collumpton in Devon, then across to Barnstaple where we stopped for a nice lunch! After lunch we came back stopping off in Lynmouth then on down Porlock Hill (1 in 4) then into Minehead for another rest! Home via the A38 and A371 to Weston-super-Mare. OK you lovely people, I'm off to bed! Night all Night H
Oh lovely drive..... I used to work in Bratton Flemming just up the road from Barnstaple and live on Exmoor..... lovely area.... Stay safe one and all..... .
Morning, Dave; morning, all. Nice to see one of the top news items is Trump testing negative for Coronavirus. Tested positive for MonumentallyUninformedPompousPrigEducationally-subnormalTurd, but negative for Corona. So that’s reassuring.
It was supposed to be a birthday day out for Mme with the two daughters.. Meanwhile younger daughter just messaged.. She has hacking cough, headache, body ache, and feels lousy... Who knows what it is and we probably will never know.. But she works in Leeds centre, buses and taxis everywhere and is a regular bar and club frequenter. So she is grounded for a while now.. and girls outing suspended...
Will do .. Thank you... Mlle is young so she should be ok... Ys oldies are feeling the need to be very careful..
I used to live in Porlock Dave. I have also cycled down Porlock Hill on a couple of occasions but I swear that Countisbury Hill (Lynmouth) is worse. Exmoor is still my favourite place in England. Take care Dave - there's not much else I can say.
Where did you live on Exmoor Yorkie ? I lived in Porlock from 1986 to 1989 and my father lived in Exford before going to the Chelsea Pensioners.
Morning all. It is a lovely morning, warm and sunny. My Sunday lunch is off, so I turned the alarm off before I went to bed. It had been disconnected while I did some point moving, and I reset the clock before going to bed. Think I might have only had one eye open as this morning discovered that it was an hour ahead of the actual time. Glad that the alarm didn't go off. Have a good day whatever you are doing, and a Happy Birthday to Mme Yorkie.
Thanks Cologne, I agree about Countisbury but didn't mention it because I thought nobody would have heard of it
