You may well fly out, but your holiday might just last a fortnight or even a month.

The Spanish government has announced you can't go on a journey now unless it's to go to work or get food or pharmaceuticals. All bars and restaurants are closed. Strictly speaking you can't even go for a walk says a friend in Spain. There's not much point in a tourist going.

I remember a bunch of us on an outward bounds (?) course thing in my youth, doing that to some poor soul who had fallen asleep (pissed) in the communal area, the most dirty/ skid marked undies were donated... He was very unhappy when he woke up, but complained more that his fingers were scalded as some other wags had tried put his fingers in various drinks to find out if it really made people piss themselves. Kids nowadays eh, know nothing...

Mother and father in law currently halfway through a holiday in Tenerife, or at least halfway through its planned duration. My missus is beside herself and trying to get more info without unduly worrying them. Bars and restaurants there are still open as at 5 minutes ago when her mum texted, but they were being warned by the bar owners that they might be forced to close soon. Their rep has no info yet on what's likely to happen and is currently as in the dark as they are.

God knows I've made enough mother in law jokes in my time, but it's scary for them both.

    Bog roll in abundance everywhere

    1) Are the ****ers down in London panicking ****s ?
    2) Do Hull folk wipe their arses less?
    3) Is Hull better supplied than the silly ****s down there?

If you answer 1) you're a cynical bastard.

If you answer 2) you're a dirty bastard.

If you answer 3) you're a naive bastard.

The panic buying of big rolls started in my local Costco in Southampton. It’s the mobile phone footage of people loading up their trolleys with them.
Costco is a great place to buy anything in bulk that you don’t really need and will never use. Mind you it has the cheapest fuel anywhere £1.15 for diesel.
Bog roll or as its known down here “eco friendly disposable toilet tissue” wasn’t been stockpiled by the public, it was the corner shops, buying up the stock, just in case it went up 2p.
