We should gan to their next home game, switch it to the SOL in fact, oh wait ! if we all stand 10 feet apart we should be alright.
SKY should be televising any match in England we need our footy ! or why not show every f a cup final ?
The crowd was announced as 3,078 at half-time, then adjusted a couple of minutes later ('cos a turnstyle hadn't been operating properly !) to 3,274 It was very comfortable for 'Sheels, who went into the break 3-0 up, after having missed a couple of very good chances to have been even more comfortable, until centre half, and captain, Jon Shaw went off injured. A makeshift defence (the right back moved to left back, after Blair Adams also had to go off, a midfielder went to play centre half and another midfielder at right back) struggled a bit, but it ended 5-3 (with Bali Mumba deservedly scoring the fifth) All in all it was a very entertaining game, and 'Sheels are now 12 points ahead of second placed F.C. United One point of note . . . . it was nice to hear a rendition of Cheer up Anal Shearer from the Manchester fans in the second half
Might pop along to their next home game as my son's team played on the practice pitch there last week and it was a canny ground.
He only made his full debut on tuesday, when he scored the only goal of the game in a m.o.m. performance at Nantwich (a good team in this league) and he did well today (not very well, but he's better than this level) and created chances for others. He's tricky/skillful and stood out, though not nearly as much as Julio did at 'Sheels He doesn't look strong, though, and I can't honestly say that I expect him to 'make the grade' at S.A.F.C.
From what I've seen so far . . . . no (he's diminutive, and I can't see him 'bulking out') I'm not an expert, and hopefully I'm wrong, though, but I can't see it . . . . he actually looked tired in the second half, as if he's not properly fit, but playing regularly will, presumably, sort that out Wouter Verstraaten (who we've potentially got lined up for next season) played very well at centre half, too (very commanding), although his game suffered when his central pairing mate, Jon Shaw, went off injured
