Morning all. Bright and sunny at last with no rain forecast for the whole day. Whatever next? The price of fuel has crashed at the filling stations, about 20 cents a litre cheaper than it was a couple of weeks ago. Watching the spot market prices on crude oil I wonder how much lower it will go. I was here when diesel started to cost more than €1 a litre and many people thought that would be the end of the world. Have a good day whatever you must do.
Morning all... A couple of medical appointments today.. But def. Keeping to our selves.. Have a good one. And take care one and all..
Well, it's Friday the 13th, boy is it Friday the 13th. Just spoken with my oncology senior doctor who has the results of my latest scan. My cancer has spread all around my pelvic area and as such is now untreatable! I asked how long have I got, she said it's impossible to be accurate but she has suggested months rather than years! I am obviously saddened by this news but I have to just carry on as best as I can!
I am so very sorry to hear this Dave but you know your friends here will be thinking of you and supporting you. Scully.
Dave, this is horrible news for you, and it deeply saddens me, and I am sure every other poster to this site. Stay as positive as possible, and be assured that we will be keeping you in our thoughts.
So sorry to hear your news Dave. I don't know what to say other than we're all thinking of you and wishing you well.
No one really knows what to say in a situation like this except to wish you the best and try to enjoy if possible the time left with your family
Hi Dave... I am so sorry... ❤️ Just enjoy life from now on in and do what you need to do. Recently I made my peace with an old friend.. It had troubled me for many years.. And I feel so much better inside... Warm wishes.... ❤️

Morning all. It is dry again, so with the aid of the wellies I might get outside today. Spent a while looking for a new battery for Mme's camera online. As one might guess most are made in China, but some are shipped from there. Delivery dates are basically at some point in time, so ordered from a company in France that has them in stock. Yesterday was the weekly shop day so while in the shops had a look to see what was in short supply. Nothing really. A notice was up asking people to restrict themselves to 2kgs of pasta or rice, but that was all. The flour shelves were a bit lower than normal, especially for bread making, but there was still plenty there. Hand cleaners and loo paper still fully stocked. The very first French strawberries are in now, at a price, but there are a mass of ones from Spain. Sometimes the Spanish ones can be quite tasteless, so we just don't buy them. Have a good day whatever you will do without football.
