Everyone is becoming a virology expert now, myself included.

Denmark and Polen have closed borders to foreigners today and looks like Norway will follow next week. Sweden is taking the UK's path by keeping things relatively open ie. Almost not bothering too much with prevention.

Here gyms, hairdressers, bars, restaurants etc. are in big trouble, so there will be a lot of small business bankruptcies - the government will bail out the big ones. My mother in law is living in isolation along a fjord right now as she's got an auto immune disorder, so if she gets it, shes brown bread apparently. Difficult times and expected to get worse.

Commonly quoted timespan is 10 weeks for this **** to play out, many folk are already working from home and KCOM expected to feel the strain.

Info overload and info fatigue are obscuring the pathway through this ****storm.

    Be lucky everyone.

Don’t know if it’s been mentioned but if they suspended this season ‘til Aug / September / Oct then started a new season in 2021 January - Oct. Keeping it the same for the following season would, possibly, work in enabling the WC in Qatar?

I switched it, just making the point that nobody actually knows how things will progress and these graphs are just a complete guess.

    IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - CORONAVIRUS
Last evening dining out with friends, one of their uncles, who's graduated with a master's degree and who worked in Shenzhen Hospital (Guangdong Province, China) sent him the following notes on Coronavirus for guidance:
    1. If you have a runny nose and sputum, you have a common cold
    2. Coronavirus pneumonia is a dry cough with no runny nose.
    3. This new virus is not heat-resistant and will be killed by a temperature of just 26/27 degrees. It hates the Sun.
    4. If someone sneezes with it, it takes about 10 feet before it drops to the ground and is no longer airborne.
    5. If it drops on a metal surface it will live for at least 12 hours - so if you come into contact with any metal surface - wash your hands as soon as you can with a bacterial soap.
    6. On fabric it can survive for 6-12 hours. normal laundry detergent will kill it.
    7. Drinking warm water is effective for all viruses. Try not to drink liquids with ice.
    8. Wash your hands frequently as the virus can only live on your hands for 5-10 minutes, but - a lot can happen during that time - you can rub your eyes, pick your nose unwittingly and so on.
    9. You should also gargle as a prevention. A simple solution of salt in warm water will suffice.
    10. Can't emphasise enough - drink plenty of water!
    THE SYMPTOMS
    1. It will first infect the throat, so you'll have a sore throat lasting 3/4 days
    2. The virus then blends into a nasal fluid that enters the trachea and then the lungs, causing pneumonia. This takes about 5/6 days further.
    3. With the pneumonia comes high fever and difficulty in breathing.
    4. The nasal congestion is not like the normal kind. You feel like you're drowning. It's imperative you then seek immediate attention.
SPREAD THE WORD - PLEASE SHARE.

I got to number three and stopped reading, they have already dismissed the 26/27 degrees story as fake, the human body is around 37 degrees and that is without a high fever

They already have a vaccination for it !
They are just starting tests on animals .
They then will have to test it on humans and see results before starting production.
It will be this time next year before they start vaccinating people starting with health workers and the vulnerable and working their way down the the importance scale .
Probably be 18 months before available to all .

This guy was interviewed on Jeremy Vine a couple of days ago (Radio 2), he was given anti biotics but never took them (also never took paracetamol), Vine asked him why he never took them and his reply was that he never takes tablets, he never has in his life. Vine questioned why again and he replied he would rather wait until it was something serious so that his body doesn't build up a resilience. Vine was a bit flabbergasted with his reasoning....

Who’s “they”? I’v not heard of one that’s been confirmed. Thy may be testing on animals but “they” won’t have a finished Vacc if they’re just starting the animal tests

Theres was a woman on the BBC news channel earlier saying what I have just put !
That's the test process they explained.
It's been said by a few medical experts that we are a year to 18 months away !

I don’t dispute the timescale. It’s the wording that “they have a vacc already”. They may well have, I’d guess there’s lots of potential vaccs, but they won’t know if it’ll work until it goes into animals. They could have carried out some in-vitro testing but will only get accurate data after in-vivo testing. Once it is known to work as a vacc then some degree of safety tests will have to be carried out before human trials commence.

In fairness to the guy, without knowing the time frames, he was perhaps in the first mass set of infected and anti bionics seemingly wouldn't have done zilch...
