What would you rather see at city?

  1. To see them win?

Percy made a perfectly valid point though, it's boring to watch us, and in my opinion it devalues victory. There's never any variation in the way we play.

(Didn't go to Pompey TBH, so I can't comment on that)

I don't agree. The only thing that would devalue victory, for me, is if we'd cheated to get the points, ie Mclean (or anyone) had done a Maradonna and put the ball in the net with his hand.

We win 1-0 means doesn't always tell the story. We could have played well and were unlucky infront of goal (pompey) or both teams cancelled each other out and we'd ground it out. But the latter is what decent teams do (apparently) and why the pretenders always faulter. You can't always play fantastic football and you'll get teams trying to stop you, so to ground it out is class imo.

As i said before we win 1-0 we get the 3 points, players confidence rises, we have a clean sheet and a better GD.

Il take a 1-0 by a last minute own goal over 4-4 any day . Newcastle blew a 10 points lead At the top of the PL , playing all out attacking footy under KK .

I say this too, follow your team through thick and thin, if you want to see world-beating footballers watch Barca on the TV and get real!

That's what I'm saying though. Why do we have to be completely negative or all out attack? Why can't we mix the two? From the sounds of it, that's what we (at least tried) to do against Pompey, so long may it continue if that is the case.

We haven't got the players for all-out attack, we'd lose every week if we tried. Think we'd need Kevin Keegan as manager for that kind of approach!

I think we play a fair bit of attacking football anyway.

I'd take the win first, as long as the points are on the board i guess that's what really matters. I'd love us to be entertained, but if we lost playing entertaining football more often than we won games 1-0 we'd be closer to the bottom than the top. We saw against Pompey that we were creating far more and should have scored more, it won't be long before we start to see us scoring more especially with stewart coming back too.

Do you really think we are completely negative? Really?

We have had in almost all the league games had control of the game, had more possession that the other teams, and do carve out more chances.

The failing we have is that the various forwards we have, have been misfiring.

Completely negative would be side to side and back again. Then side to side and back again with frequent back passes for Basso to lump it. I haven't see us do that. So I would say we are more positive than negative.

Well said. Or defending virtually on our goal line for the full 90 minutes.

That's not negative, it's called being not very good and short of ideas and talent. We are a long way from being that.

We just don't score enough goals to justify the amount of possession we have and that will inevitably make us vulnerable when we do concede a goal.

    It'll come.
