IF ANY OF THE PREVIOUS MANAGERS were transported from then till now … eg the back ground was as it is NOW... gates stadium .. background income financing etc … they all most likely get the same opportunities .. provisio being would they have coached what players have been brought in to the present standard [ better or worse? ]… bearing in mind LJ is a coach AND SC was a manager SC BOUGHT IN LJ has the final word..sometimes .. or recommends … it is futile trying to compare .. bit like saying the job I did 40 years ago [ compared to the bloke that does it now ] I could have done better at had I had a computer, teabreak *** breaks shorter hours .. longer holiday to recover and more pay! etc etc etc
That makes sense, I was unsure, re-read it but Terry Cooper was a great example of loaves and fishes. Eighteen thousand at a tribunal for Walsh. It was almost fraudulent. Mr Lansdown post remarks 2012 embarked on cost cutting and squad trimming. It appears cyclic in that the squad is again bloated but this was not meant to occur. Will Mr Lansdown sanction yet more spending on ever increasing numbers .. I doubt it. Mr Lansdown knows more than virtually all how to run businesses but football clubs exist in a differing world. Mr Lansdown employed Coppell and SOD and the Johnsons. The intent is not the same.
But over those years the club has grown, new stadium complex etc....I think his intent is not to sit still, same as his business...
ah having experience of the early years of H L it was not a rocket ascendancy! it was was based on a stable .. after a few years … ascendancy. It was carefully put together and grew pretty much within its means …. the present situation in my eyes came after he sat down and thought it out 4 years ago or so... this is what I need to do … one of the first things he did was get rid of a football manager and put in place a coach... some on here still believe we are making losses!!!! no names no pack drill ….. however even the most successful businesses can almost turn in a loss...….on paper. SL is from a financially orientated background … he knows a bit about some financial structuring .. but not all and will have financial advisors probably confirming what is or needs to be done?????
