Hello and welcome to the official match thread for today's Premier League encounter between Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

    Preview.

I'll start with the home team.

Liverpool currently sit 8th in the league with 7 points from 5 games. We have lost the last two league games against Stoke and Spurs but a 2-1 victory in the Carling Cip against Brighton has lifted the team and fans. The game today gives Liverpool the chance to kick-start our league campaign but Wolves will be a tough game. A win for Liverpool is crucial because we have Everton and Manchester United in our next two league games. A bit of confidence and another three points going into these games could be important.

    And now the away team.

Wolves currently sit 10th in the league with 7 points from 5 games. Mick McCarthy's start started the season very well with 2 wins and a draw from their first 3 league games. Back-to-back defeats against Spurs and Q.P.R have been disappointing for the fans but I everyone can agree that Wolves have had an excellent start to the season. A 5-0 victory against Millwall in the Carling Cup means that Wolves are also coming into this game with some confidence.

    Team News.

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish must decide whether to give Steven Gerrard his first start since March. Martin Skrtel is back from suspension and likely to replace the injured Daniel Agger, with Martin Kelly returning at right-back.

Wolves skipper Roger Johnson has recovered from a calf injury, while Steven Fletcher is fit after overcoming a groin problem. Kevin Foley, Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, Ronald Zubar and Jody Craddock are out.

I would think 2 nil but with our defence not being as strong as I'd like we may leak a goal.. Bellamy to def start for me...

Welcome to the site mate <ok>

As for my prediction, I'm going to stick my neck on the line and go for 4-1.

I think the guys will play like they have something to prove and with our attacking options I see a high scoring game.

By the way everyone, the Carling Cup last 16 draw takes place in around 20 minutes...

Aldershot, Arsenal, Bolton, Blackburn, Burnley, Cardiff, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Everton, Manchester City, Manchester United, Newcastle, Southampton, Stoke and Wolves are possible teams we could get.

    Who do you want?

Sky Sports is free this weekend!

So you can watch City Vs Everton or Dunfermline Vs Rangers in about 30 minutes before our game kicks off today...

Was there a need for that comment. No wonder people mock your players and ex players. Now tell us about Captain Crocks managerial career at Middlebrough and the Baggies?
