Thanks Ron - there are bound to be some mistakes, particularly around the placed horses. With win only a simple equation would get the job done easy peasy, but with the fractions, a whole different game. And I'm not clever enough to write a macro, or something that could be used for those, so all manual calculations! By the last race, I was getting severe brain fade - I put Lord Mesnil's place return as 6.88 - I could see it wasn't right but every time I recalced it, I kept coming up with the same answer. To my embarrassment, I used an online odds calculator to tell me the correct return was £1.88
