No it isn't - I have a serious hatred of this bloke after this and I'm not even Charlton - told you about the £1.5M per year the other day - looks like that was short of the mark - as it stands, he's still your CEO and God only knows what he's buying himself before the inevitable happens.
Pretty sure some of what he's done is against the law, so would advise any concerned Charlton fans to make an official complaint to the Serious Fraud Squad.

If ESI didn't send in proof of funds how come the EFL approved the takeover? Or did they?

We'd only get a points deduction if we're relegated. If we stay up they'd send us down. Is that right?

In a choice between a spiv with no money and a rich pissed off Syrian, I'll choose the Syrian for now.

What has Charlton done to deserve a points deduction?

Thinking aloud ...I can’t see how this ends well for the club.

The best short term scenario seems to be that Nimer forces Southall out through court action, steps back in and pays the bills until this summer. But now it’s common knowledge both that he is short of funds, and that he is a seriously unprofessional individual prone to erratic behaviour. Who is going to lend him anything like £50m in those circumstances?

The most likely scenario IMO is that Duchatelet re-inherits a League One club with no players this summer.

If you were Duchatelet, after receiving the abuse he did after he bailed you out before, would you want back in?

    Cle
Clearly he's unprofessional, last night's "statement" was Duchatelet-worthy
Where's the short of funds accusation come from?

Southall was tasked with getting ESI finance to buy the freeholds this summer. It’s common knowledge that he’s been asking all & sundry, and that Nimer doesn’t have that sort of dough.

Who within football would lend either of them a penny now ...

I still don't know how the EFL approved the takeover if the proof of funds has not been submitted.
I don't know. TC seems to think it will happen. He wouldn't WUM about something as serious as that would he?<whistle>

No he doesn't - if ESI go bust, administrators wouldn't be able to touch The ground or training ground as they are owned by a separate entity (Strapix) which now has nothing to do with CAFC apart from being it's landlord

Hey - I'm on your side here.
I want Charlton to stay in business - and to stay up - the 6 points could mean the difference between autos and playoff next season if we fall short (no elfish pun intended :emoticon-0136-giggl) this season.

    Good.

If the way we treated him causes him to walk away now then all the better.
But in reality, if he closes the Club now it will be because that was always his intention.

I'd rather walk away from CAFC than poke my tongue up his arse and beg him to prop us up with some more of his money.
I cannot believe some Charlton fans are willing to grovel to RD, and see him as our saviour.
    Talk about Stockholm Syndrome.

Could they think of a more damning way to humiliate themselves? Have some self-respect for f**k sake.
