Beat me to it. @Libby this is really your final chance. Another away loss and if any of us see you at an away game we'll jump into the crowd to sort it
Got my ticket for the big Balearic Island "derby" on Sunday, Atletico Baleares v Ibiza in Segundo B. Most tickets sales can be done on your mobile. Using a plan of the stadium, you click on a section which then shows you which seats are still available. Click on the seat you want and then proceed to checkout. I am sure SFC had this facility back in the Championship promotion season, yeah!!!
A Cup Final to savour …….. in España!! No glory hunting fans will be there as it will involve two Basque sides, Real Sociedad v Athletic Bilbao. For the English FA Cup final not to involve glory hunters, we need two of the following - Newcastle, Leicester, Norwich, Sheffield United.
Football in Italy should be suspended and currently "makes no sense" for it to continue amid the increased risk of coronavirus, says the country's sports minister Vincenzo Spadafora. Last week, Italy's government said all sport in the country would be played behind closed doors until 3 April. Looks like this is going to happen. I'm shocked.
If games go behind closed doors then there has to be something put in place for lower league clubs who still rely on that income.
Nottingham Forest owner has the virus. I reckon he'll be alright. Its us peasants who are going to be up the creek!
Yep, however I say again disease won't care who is treating you or how big your bank balance is. Though Bupa will let you jump a queue.
Reports in Italy were, that there were so many cases being treated, that they didn't have enough equipment, so were picking who to treat. If it blows up here, it will be the same.
Triage will be implemented if facilities and drugs are overwhelmed….as done during a war or disaster...this is why the plan here is to delay the spread and reduce the chance of this happening. It's accepted that it can't be prevented completely, so delay is the best option.
This has already been decided. They call it the “Three wise men” protocol, which involves the three most senior consultants deciding which patients receive what level of support. The weakest will probably be left to their own resources, for fear of tying up medical equipment on a “presumed lost cause”. There will be other knock on effects caused by this virus. My wife’s next scan will be towards the end of May, but her consultant has already stated that it will be cancelled in the event of the hospital being tied up with ongoing coronavirus issues. Any delays in identifying the return and/or spread of her cancer could have a massive impact on her continued survival and lead to even more aggressive chemotherapy to fight it, if it has returned and had extra time to take hold. There will be thousands more people who will be worried about cancelled appointments, delaying the identification of and treatment of illness, especially when time is of the essence, but it is what it is, unfortunately.
They call it the “Three wise men” protocol ------------------ And nature calls it a birds nest. Still cruel, however its packaged.
And now..... The Italian football federation (FIGC) said after a meeting on Tuesday that the Serie A season may not finish because of the coronavirus outbreak. FIGC president Gabriele Gravina also put forward alternative options if the season can not be concluded. They include staging play-offs, not having a champion for 2019-20 and declaring the current standings final. That is controversial.
I would take a combo of the above for the Premier League - no Champion. Standings as they are from 8 down and play offs for top 6 from 8 or 9
