To be honest, I enjoy using this forum and it is better than most out there (plus all the toon 606ers are here.) Some people are just miserable, sad ****ers who think it is funny to take down websites from the comfort of their arm chair.

 

Lol 1and1 aren't much better. I remember trying to cancel a hosting package and it took about 3 months for them to finally stop billing me!

Regardless of what package you are paying for they should have hardware protection to help prevent such attacks. There is also software you can set up on the server to "help";

This is plainly a server issue and not any kind of attack. Are you aware of the difficulty of that kind of attack? So before you go about making accusations or encouraging them then I suggest you make yourself aware of what you're talking about. Get a proper web company to have a look. As if you encourage your members to spout nonsense about other sites then that will only end in further server problems as they could withdraw it.

Eh?? Anyone with a bit of knowledge can do it. I can, but won't, because I don't like breaking the law lol. Also it was stated on the webpage, when it was down, that it was under DoS attack.

Mick, having a pop at others html coding is a bit daft. Some of the other sites are better designed and you'd look more genuine if you accepted that. I'm joining all the sites to see which is best and commenting on issues I feel may make that site better. The attitude here is one of those things. If you were a web whizz the site would be better. Nobody is having a go at you for not being so, not me anyway. However don't try and kid your way through it, get proper support
