All a bit "he said, she said", who should we believe? Frankly, who cares, they've both ****ed the club.
Roland gets to develop or sell the land. He'll be quids in. There's no way he is an innocent party in this. He has either engineered the entire situation, or has covered his arse so well that he could not lose whatever happened. Either way, Duchatelet will not get off the hook. He'll be remembered always as the owner who murdered our Club. Time for AFC Charlton. See you up the park on Sunday mornings gentlemen!
Honestly think you're giving Duchatelet too much credit, sounds like he "sold" the club for £1, he won't get the £60mil back from sparrows lane or the valley
This is going to get really messy. Charlton fight club Contender bout Southall v Nimer. Winner gets to fight Roland - undisputed heavyweight and holder of 2 belts (of land)
Only 2 things might convince me that RD didn't want this (engineer this) all along; 1) He steps back in now and funds the Club again until a real buyer is found. 2) He loses millions if CAFC goes to the wall. Meaning he does not profit from selling or developing the land. I'm getting very close now to thinking the Club as it exists isn't worth saving. We're back in the basket with Bury and Bolton, and **** is going to happen now just like back in the 1980's. That's what we get for having crooks for owners for the last 10 years.
The way you lot treated Roland, I doubt if he'd step back in. CARD might have something to say about that - I'm sure they'd rather you fold than him step back in - and it's looking a Cheltenham banker right now.
It was obvious from Day One what Southall was. His behaviour in the January transfer window just confirmed it. A man out of his depth, a Jack the lad wannabe. Now the club goes back to Duchatelet...no doubt we will hear from him soon. We are in incredibly deep ****.
Nimer - Southall has wasted my money on Range Rovers & bitches. Southall - Nimer couldn’t produce the funds he had promised in January. what a tangled web we weave
Woke up to this news, so have been hopping between sites to catch up. Popped onto ITTV and witnessed Reams gloating, seriously what the **** is wrong with that bloke?
We should have known better than to expect a happy ending to Douchatelet's ownership. Give Elfs credit, he said all along that he would f*ck the club. Southall's naivety has been the last straw, hawking the club to "his excellency", without any idea of what he was really like. We await the club's statement, but administration seems the only option now, unless Douchatelet has anything even worse in mind.
Everyone has been shafted here and all concerned at the top end of the club now can no longer be trusted. We are in the **** and I would be concerned if my wages are going to be paid at the end of the month it was an employee there right now
Dr Kish's take on things... Southall's statement is a response to a post on one of Tahnoon Nimer's social media accounts. Nimer claimed he had discovered the club's resources had been used in a "wrong and immoral manner". Nimer has withdrawn his backing of the club and wished Charlton fans "all the best". There were a number of stories circulating over the weekend concerning the club. Nimer is trying to buy Dinamo Bucharest, and his accusation of misuse of money may be linked to the rumours of the purchase of a number of Land Rovers. Certainly there was a new one in a prominent position in the front row of the West Stand car park on Saturday. The takeover seemed to drag on interminably, Southall's statement explains why. What is diffucult to understand is how the EFL sanctioned the deal. Administration looks inevitable. Dependant on timescales and what happens during the last nine games of the season, the Addicks may kick-off next seaon in League One with a 12 point deduction. Charlton's beleaguered fans - as well as the club's loyal staff - deserve better than this. Over the years, they have had to suffer more than their fair share of heartache. Just when they thought the club had a bright and exciting future, it's very existence could again be in doubt. Hopefully, the situation can be resolved, but right now things are in a real mess. Just how bad the situation is should become clearer over the next few hours and days.
