On what grounds Bob pound for pound he his the verey best manager in THE EUROPEAN WORLDI can't speak for South America or the far east. He unearths talent and knows eactly when to sell ie Fabregas PETTIT HENRY OVERMARS I CAN,T think of one player he hasn,t done well onn apart from Royes so can you name one better
He has failed to win anything for many years, despite having money to buy players and having this "talent" at the club. Arsenal fans believe they should win a trophy every year, yet they haven't and are now in the 2nd level of the EPL, years behind Man Utd, Man City and Chelsea. My biggest gripe with Wegner, is his dislike of English talent, he appears to believe foreign players are better, when they are not. Why on earth did Arsenal not go for Joey Barton, he is a cracking player with attitude and can win games, yet Arsenal decided to look at a player who has seen better days but comes from Spain. Wegner appears to be forced into buying an English player and then reluctantly puts them in the team, it's shocking and could be viewed as almost racist the way he avoid home talent for some African, French or Spanish players. Arsenal have gone backwards for the last three years and Wegner is responsible for that. I'm sure many Arsenal fans would disagree with me, but the facts speak for themselves, if they want to go on never winning anything, then fine, stick with Wegner.
Again Bob how can you possibly say this when he bought Ramsey Oxlade Chamberlain Walcott as for buying Barton you must be crazy to even think about him he will ruin anyt club he goes to because basically he thinks hes better than anyone else even the international players the man is at best a joke at worst a thug . Do you think that Fergie would have signed him especially for nothing if he thought he was anygood enough said
I think Grayson's taken you as far as he can. Can't see him managing in the Premier League. And yes Arsenal should get rid of Wenger.
Because Barton is a cracking British player and he makes a team. I reckon Wegner was forced into buying the young (almost identical) English players he has over the last few years, and I am 100% confident he would not have them in the team, but has been forced by the owners. Wegner hasn't won anything for years and it is as simple as that, he should go for the simple fact he has failed to win a trophy for many years. Playing a style of football that doesn't win anything, isn't acceptable, winning titles and cups is. Why didn't Arsenal go for Charlie Adams? He is one of the best midfield players in the EPL and yet Arsenal weren't interested, it says it all really. I'm sure most Arsenal fans would rather see a team win things than the stuff they have to endure under Wegner. Wegner's time was in the late 90's to early 2000's (with a defence he inherited, not his purchases) and with the exception of Henry and Fabregas the vast majority of his signings were players already established as good players.
I think Scotty P arker would have fitted well not sure Adam would Barton as I have said already would never play for me I just don't like that type of distruptive person
I understand why many would agree with you Leeds60, but I'm gong by his football skills not his personality. A decent manager and I think Warnock is one, will deal with Barton and get the best out of them. Scott Parker is exactly what Arsenal needed and I'm sure many Arsenal fans would have been delighted to get him, but yet again Wegner looked abroad and failed to get what is required. I'm also aware that there is a rule about having a percentage home players in your squad, so I can't help but think this is why Wegner allows some English players in the squad.
I really don't care about Arsenal's 'problems',they're on a totally different level football wise & I'd swap their 'problems'for ours any day,Champions League football for the past 14 years.
Sorry Leeds60, didn't see your question: In no specific order: Sir Alex Ferguson Martin O'Neill Jose Mourinho Roy Hodgson Josep Guardiola Walter Smith Carlo Ancelotti Louis van Gaal Roberto Mancini Didier Deschamps David Moyes Owen Coyle
What a surprise Leeds 60, you kind of made it clear that no matter who I said, you would state that my manager's were rubbish, the fact is those above are better than Wegner and most people would agree with me. At least most of them have won something lately, which Wegner can't say.
grayson out he has had his time an let us down ----promotion wise he loses the plot we need someone with ambition while the season is early-----we av to play all the teams that other teams are kicking there ass ---then they come to er and kick ours ---nowt changes exept we dont go up where we belong
