Lee Mavers is from Page Moss Avenue,i remember waiting to pick me bird up from work(a shop accross the rd from Lee's house)and they were as loud as **** practicing,but they were brilliant when the practice stopped and their career started Billy.

Mate Lee was brilliant but he just got messed about. That album should've been the prelude to great things but as it was it ended up being their only album. Sad story really eh.

I read an interview with John Powers a few years back saying Lee was still working on an "epic" second album :D kinda think it's a bit late for that now....think it's fair to say Manchester took the musical lead in those days and not sure as a city its ever looked back from the whole "Madchester" thing to be honest....gotta get some sleep mate but in the interests of redressing the Manchester/Liverpool split I'll leave you with one of the reasons I always felt the whole manchester scene (as the media liked to call it) was more of a north west thing <ok>
