Read today there is talk about stopping over 70s going to games. I’d love to have been the person who told my dad he couldn’t go. And how the hell do you police it, how do you decide if someone is 69 or 70 unless people have to take birth certificates
I'm just wondering how they will enforce this? Will everyone have to bring a birth certificate to match? Personally I think it's a load of bollocks and a non starter
What about those without season cards who choose to pay on the day? Not easy.An administrative nightmare. Not as easy as you may think. Mind I dont know how many over 70s we have! I m not quite there
I reckon the majority of older lads and lasses who go are season ticket holders. Obviously there's not much you can do except say that you might be asked to show some ID. It's daft to suggest this couldn't be policed, we ask for ID to do lots of things in life, going to the match is definitely possible to stop if they're serious.
Still think its an absolute nonsense if the authorities try to introduce this. Might as well put a guard on every over 70s front door FFS!!! Its a madness suggestion imo. If the powers that be intend to introduce it for football (and are serious) they should ban all over 70s from leaving their house!!
Yep, they may get close to doing that too, albeit 'ban' is not what will happen I don't believe, ever. It will be more guidance, and some companies/organisations might enforce it to avoid liability. For what it's worth, if people over 70 want to put themselves through watching us as a matter of life and death, they're daft. If it's their choice, then fair enough. All I'm saying is that if it was enforced in some way, it wouldn't be as difficult as you'd imagine. Time consuming, annoying, inconvenient, but believe me those 3 words are going to crop up a lot more over the next few months.
Im 66 and look 80. Thats why Imconcern If the powers that be decide to this for football, surely they'll have to introduce it elsewhere to make it worth its while. Yes, ban over 70s from Metro Centre and Bingo Halls. Just think its a total load of bollocks
If the powers that be decide on this course of action then the least they can do is provide the over 70's with free sky and other football channels
i have had vestibular neuritus and that is 5 times worse than that i can tell you it is a torture i had for 7 months my balance went and talking about sea sickness every day puking up, anyone had that on this site ? they know then.
Is it going to get worse before it gets better.. What is it about stockpiling bog paper ..as far as I aware wiping your backside after a crap, does not prevent you catching Coronvirus or anything I
I raised this the other day but it will be interesting if this needs a streaming alternative for non-televised games, and how it changes the commitment to 3pm kick offs in the long run. For us I think theres a possibility the EFL streaming is scaled up in the short term, and the PL might trial something they've been thinking about on similar lines.
