    Football here is basically the thing to do when you wanna go outside, kick a football about.

    I imagine it's more "catch" and "baseball" in America? Rugby and American football aren't really suited as general games in the park.

    I still reckon we've all got the approach all wrong, if they learn to play football like they would a job then they'll never get anywhere; it has to be something you really want to do, or have the natural ability to do. Obviously in America, football hasn't really taken off majorly yet so many people wouldn't even think of getting into football. The biggest challenge is making them get into it, then persuading the kids to play it as a game, then take them on to sharpen up their game not force it on them like a job.

    "Soccer Mom"'s are always pushy, which tells you all you need to know about the type of kid you're training.

    Yeah and this kind of brings me back round to what i mentioned in one of my earlier posts..."I ask 2 simple questions here...has the Academy produced any more successful young players than we would have produced anyway under the old set up? Will the Academy produce kids of a better standard in the future?"
