Shows how important points are on the board...have a buffer, especially since teams at bottom are failing to make much of an inroads into our lead. Let's hopewe can stop the slump against Norwich and Watford.
Just got back from the game. Was expecting us to lose from the moment Djenepo was sent off so the late goal wasn't a huge shock. Just disappointing we handed it to them on a plate. Can't really complain about the result or the performance. Shame Alex didn't get a clean sheet - he was phenomenal today. That penalty save was celebrated as much as a goal.
Hence the word ,'if' was included. Not sure that Ralph liked being questioned about KWP coming on to give Valery a rest! He may be right but he's not in a good mood. Wouldn't fancy Monday's training session!! Norwich coming up and we're not in a good place to face then, who will surely fancy their chances against us. On the other hand though............?
I do. Suspect Ralph does too. Sometimes you just lose games. If the team aren’t working hard, you’ll lose an awful lot more.
Being away from home against a team who are quite attacking (and poor defensively) should be much better game for us. Well hopefully anyway.
Yep, and they were, but we contrived to lose them. We shouldn’t do that with these next three, but it’s football. Anything can happen. But we’ll probably pick up a win.
Might sound crazy but I have far more confidence in beating Arsenal at home than I did for this match!
Exactly. I know Newcastle are nowhere as good as Leicester but Ralph will not be able to fault the effort of the players today.
Probably worth giving Bruce some credit too. It's awful to watch but he has done brilliantly to amass that amount of points from what's probably the second worst squad in the league.
When we lose a couple, it’s like everyone on here has never watched football before. Emotions are funny old things.
