Ah well - at least we're not back down in the bottom three. I hope Leicester roll Villa on Monday night...

Palace fans certainly have blue and red tinted glasses - complaining about Capoue being a dirty player when they have the likes of McArthur and Van Aanholt in their side.

That really could have gone either way. It does seem that Palace have worked out how to defend with all these 1-0 results.

Yup - 10 or 11 men behind the ball makes it difficult for any team to score. And they also have Gary Cahill, who I thought we should have attempted to sign when he left Chelsea - marshalls his troops well.

I thought Cahill was the difference. I have to echo the general consensus: Zaha is a petulant child and yes should have been off for an early "desanitising"; we played into their game - bitty, bad tempered, wind up merchants that they are; The ball just didn't drop for us at all... I gave up hope of us getting anything about 5 minutes before Ayew scored (nice hit, tbf) out of nothing; Pereyra's effectual absence was woefully conspicuous by his presence; great save from TD9 effort - typically enough; weak performance from Taylor all game though, to his credit, he didn't fall for their antics for the most part; general consensus with the 8 or so cpfc fans I spoke to post match was that this game was always made for them after last week's victory and they do not think we will go down - with all the light hearted cussing that went with it!

Biggest bug bear of the day was the supposed Watford fan who wazzed all over the toilet seat, wall and floor immediately before I had to use that cubicle... if I hadn't been so desperate to go by then I'd have done more something about it! At least the toilet paper was dry: thanks, Champ!

Other than that a grand day out meeting up with good friends... always the bit between 15:00 and 17:00 that gets in the way, eh?
    Chelski ticket procured this afternoon.
