I don't think not being in the cup would have any bearing on your league performances. You've had 1 win in the league in about 2 months, taking the cup away isn't going to change that form. Fck knows what's going on at Newcastle but you should be doing better than that regardless.

We have been doing exactly the same for the last few seasons. It used to be a lack of investment. This year we spent £40million on one of the worst strikers the Premier League has ever seen. The whole club stinks of Sports Directness - from the board to the playing staff to the training facilities to the toilets. Even the fans are starting to lose interest.
