Disagree John. They aren't hell bent on running the club into the ground. They honestly think they are doing a good job - "creating a sustainable club with it's own identity of playing attractive attacking football with young exciting talent that fans will want to watch". And they'll believe it isn't their fault that it's failing (just like the failed name change, the failed ticket model, whatever).
They are of course utterly deluded. As well as incompetent, arrogant, stubborn, despicable liars.
It's nonsense for us to keep repeating things like 'they are hell bent on running the club into the ground'. It's even more nonsensical for them in one breath to state "we (as in the Allams) know nothing about football" then in the next breath to be laying down how the club will play from top to bottom. I suspect McCanns hands are at least partly tied, given that he came in under agreement to this 'philosophy'. Nige obviously knew what was coming and couldn't buy into it; fair play to him for simply walking away.
Best thing they could do, other than just ****ing off of course, would be to step away from it other than the finance side, then hand all operational & footballing matters over to a footballing man (an Adam Pearson type) and replace McCann with a wiley manager who really knows what he's doing. Losing Adkins was careless to say the least; a very decent manager & coach, a very decent bloke and someone who wouldn't demand the earth.
They are utterly clueless but, back to the point, believe they are doing a good job but everyone else is wrong and are failing them. .

Edit: moved to Terry Out thread. Seems a more appropriate place for it than this Leeds thread.

I think the final nail in the coffin for Adkins was when Elphick went back, and we replaced him with Ridgewell 3 weeks later. An absolute shocking bit of business and again cost us any hope last year, especially when De Wijs and Burke got injured.

We had a good chance last season, if we had signed a half decent centre half on loan, like we did with Clement when football men where in charge.

it’s fairly obvious to say but when Grosicki and Bowen left it was obvious what was going to happen, it’s impossible to replace their input, especially with out horrendous recruitment. It’s just come earlier than I thought. I thought next season would be the relegation year not this.

    Agreed

vermin 'fans' a level above below on account of them having chosen a subsequently underperforming club rather than a successful one.

Demonstrates a lack of football nouse as well as personal inadequacy

The sales pitch probably goes something like this - I've run the club for 10 years - I haven't paid off any of the debt, I've managed to halve the crowd and piss off most of the fans, I've decimated the squad, I've brought in a manager who doesn't really know what he's doing - when I took over we were near the top of the championship, now we look like we're going to league 1 - I only paid £1 but I now want £50 million to reflect all the goodwill and value added that I've created - business genius

    Not having that.

You know your club has form for tears and tantrums, often accompanied by self-pity.

You lot are getting excited and even though you're known as perennial bottlers ('leeds are falling apart again' has become a national terrace favourite), it seems you may make it it to the PL.

Any questions on the PL please ask, you're talking to Yorkshire's Number 1 this millennium when it comes to playing in the the top division.

PS Don't do that twirly scarves thing. You're showing yourselves up.

Allam Marine, Allamhouse, Hull City or any of the other companies the family own.

The club owes him £50m, which is roughly a quarter of his total net worth, of course it would bother him.

Don't understand why some think it's a crime if the Allams decide to stop funding Hull City if it becomes non profitable. They could choose to liquidate the limited company (also called ‘winding up’ a company).

"The company will stop doing business and employing people. The company will not exist once it’s been removed (‘struck off’) from the companies register at Companies House.

When you liquidate a company, its assets are used to pay off its debts. Any money left goes to shareholders. You’ll need a validation order to access your company bank account"

Not seen anything about that stopping them being directors of other companies. There may of course be tax implications. Can't imagine the FA or football league been happy about it though.

They'd only be prevented from being company directors if the action taken to wind up the club was dodgy, which they obviously wouldn't do and they're not going to wind up anyway, so it's a pointless discussion.

Presumably they’ll stop chanting his name now...

An independent Football Association regulatory commission suspended Kiko Casilla for eight games after being satisfied the Leeds goalkeeper called Charlton’s loanee striker Jonathan Leko “a ****ing ******” during a game at the Valley in September last year.

I keep seeing this comment about twirly scarf thing, it makes me smile how it can be commented on by a group of fans that like doing that little “mauled by the tigers” thing they do. Have you had a chance to do that this season?
