Hmm not for me. I think it will bomb. All the things that made that movie a hit, the special effects and fight scenes, are kinda an industry norm now. Apart from the plot which is the brain child of two mentalists, I don't know what the Matrix has to offer. It's far too 90s to work in the 2020s imo.
Matrix 2 and matrix 3 were ****. Deffo not watching matrix 4 unless it is a totally stand alone story
Gonna say that too, movies were going downhill even during the hype. I liked 2 but 3? Jesus I almost fell asleep. It was a mess.
I love the theory that the Matrix and the "real world" that the characters feel they're fighting for is just another simulation. Like when you go down the rabbit hole and take the pill, You're just unlocking another level of the Matrix. It would make sense, and would go with what the machine says to Neo. That he's just another "one" of many "ones" and they know what will happen.
The whole car/truck chase scene is the only good thing in any of those. Even now I'd happily watch that whole scene.
Matrix threw curveballs all the time. Suddenly they're running around an endless mansion, then they're on a highway and two fellas can turn into ghosts. Then they're in a ship fighting a guy randomly. It's all mental.
They had a perfectly complete film in the first one. Then suddenly saw the $$$ signs for the sequels and desperately added a convoluted plot for 2 and 3 which was utter garbage.
Just jokes mate. Yeh Blade is a very good film. I can't remember the sequels though which I guess says it all.
