Surely we have to be thinking about moving him on?

His constant injuries mean hes just a waste of a squad place.

    Would anyone take him?
This is the problem with an injury-prone player - you're usually stuck with them until their contract's up.

Im sure we could move him on at a hefty loss pretty easily tbh.

Not sure if edwards and the gang would agree with that though.

It's on injury table sites. Hip flexor strain - no return date.

He is according to reports, very shy and not particularly integrated with the squad. Which doesn't help much.
I would like to see him come good, but I don't see it happening.

    OK.........disappointing

Got to have patience though, he has played over 50 games in less than two seasons so I feel all this is being somewhat exaggerated

With all due respect, I can't understand how you can say that. I understand the principle of being supportive to all of our players, and I'm all for it - but the number of times he's been injured is of real concern, no exaggeration that I can see.
He may have made 51 appearances, but how many were subs, or subbed? The team has played probably about twice that number, and with his talent I'd have expected him to be near ever-present.
When he's repeatedly injured, he can't get into his stride, and when the team can't rely on him then they can't really establish any tactics around him. He's a peripheral figure atm, and every time he seems on his way back the same thing happens. He plays a few cameo roles then goes off again. Deeply disappointing.

The issue for Keira is two fold IMO. He came with a massive rep but how we play is very controlled so you do not see that many dribbles as he used to have in Germany. The team tactics are such that midfield players have to put in work defensively so one needs to find the right balance i.e. Wijnaldum.

The second issue is the type of injuries he keeps getting. Muscle injuries do take their toll on players and it is the same problem Sturridge had. Klopp's system is very intense on the body and I think either Keita is put on a special fitness regime because it is becoming apparent fitness issues will be the death of his career in Liverpool. That said,I am happy if he gets another season. I haven't given up on him yet.
