Ruby casts an eye over some of the Mullins Cheltenham hopes. As the Irish usually do well, maybe a winner can be found here.

    Thanks for posting Cyc.
Did you hear Ruby gushing about Asterion Forlonge? That's a tip in itself and hopefully he turns up in the Supreme. I was very keen on Abacadabras forthe Supreme but what the grey horse did at Leopardstown was frighteningly good <ok>

Hasn't even mentioned Energumene in the bumper. Bought out of Tom Lacey's yard for a big sum by the Brighton owner Bloom. 20/1 :emoticon-0148-yes:

How many winners will Willie have this year? I'd have to say it could be his best ever year with the likes of Asterion Forlonge, Benie Des Dieux, Carefully Selected, The Big Getaway, Chacun Pour Soi, Faugheen, Appreciate It, Min, Monkfish and Al Boum Photo all holding great chances - and I haven't even looked at the handicaps <yikes>

7/4 currently is a skinny ol price in 20 odd runner where you get plenty of hard luck stories. You'd have needed to be in the know to back that one. I like Energumene and Lacey's horse Adrimel at fancier prices. I would add that when someone put up the entries which showed the winners roll of honour the only one that carried my dough was Hairy Molly <laugh>. I'm due one

You should look up his point win over Assemble as well, it was a brilliant performance, could see he was going to be a class horse then.

Ruby Walsh wouldnt know how to lie in his bed straight. He is a terrible tipster and I'm convinced he purposely misleads punters.I had the misfortune of reading some of his autobiography and he openly admits that he doesnt give two hoots about punters.I dont like his cosy relationship with fathead Power either. He was a superb jockey but he is a very greedy individual( ive been told a couple of unsavoury stories locally).I dont normally go on rants about jockeys as I love racing but I draw the line when it comes to Greedy Walsh.

Interesting I was reading a preview from the other night and David Casey was very quiet about some of the horses you mentioned. The only horse he was particularly bullish about was Appreciate It in the bumper. He is the eyes and ears at Closutten so I was expecting some better news on certain runners( tipped Shiskin in the Supreme Novices)

Ste I’ve come to the conclusion they’re all **** tipsters and definitely send punters up one way streets. We have very good tipsters on this forum who put in the work. I used to go to preview evening, half a dozen so called experts tipping up faves. I don’t bother anymore .

The two ex jockeys turned pundits I have found it worth listening to when they express a strong view about a particular runner, have been Willie Carson and Mick Fitzgerald. Most of the others couldn’t tip rubbish.

Throughout his riding career Walsh regularly stated that he didn't give a **** about punters. Which to be honest is fair enough. Where he looks a massive bellend IMO is that he's now trying to forge a career in the media interacting with those people he's always said he despises.

I get all the talk about Ruby not caring for punters but that is my point about Asterion Forlonge - he doesn't say "ooooh I'd back that if I were you" he says "I'd want to be sat on that". Lump on <ok>
