Huge improvement compared to the past 2 games. 3 at the back makes life much more comfortable for Dier, as the game is being played largely in front of him. Also allows Lucas to move into a more central position, relieving him of a lot of his defensive duties. And gets the most out of Aurier. Hasn't been a great spectacle by any measure - reflected by what sounds like a really poor atmosphere. Sanchez and Davies have been really sloppy, Winks needs to be more imaginative and we need to get Lo Celso on the ball as much as possible. The guy plays the game on a different wavelength. Dele has once again been completely anonymous.
In all seriousness, I’ve been dropping in and out because my stream is awful, but we look threatening going forwards but very porus at the back. The goal was a very poor one to concede.
Started well for a change, let them back in it through sloppy defending (albeit I can somewhat forgive that seeing as it's a new back three and a change in keeper), game went a bit stale, we grabbed a brilliant second. Giovani Lo Modric, league above anyone else on the pitch in that first half. Rest of the team... Meh.
We look a bit light weight but overall we should have more energy as the game develops in the second half.

Yeah I agree. He's been really poor today. Another awful cross straight to Patricio. Problem is N'Dombele won't do enough defensively to justify hooking him. I'd remove Dele - who has again done zilch - and push Lo Celso further up.
